Get him a bunch of spools of quality 6 LB test line. I use Stren mono but just ask someone at Bass Pro Shops what the new best thing is. Get him some Panther Martins, some beetle spins and some Maribou jigs as well. He will be appreciative of this...especially the spools of line.
