Does he get drafted as a QB or an athlete? Buddy of mine is convinced he's a first round qb. I see him going in the later rounds as an athlete.

Legit question, but auburn fans will accuse you of this somehow being an insult.

I tried to make it as bland and non-confrontational as possible. Just curious as to other's thoughts.

Don't know. Will need to wait until this season. Keep in mind, he played at a small school in HS, took a few years off at a directional school as a DB, and was only with Gus for a short period before playing last season. I'll need to see his progression this season.

I don't see him being able to handle an NFL Playbook.

I really don't know. He has an NFL arm, but cost us the NC because he can't hit a wide open WR. Which is strange, because his passes under pressure are on spot.

don't think they draft you as an athlete at the NFL. I am sure there are exceptions. I see Phil. taking him first overall as they will trade up to the first pick.

I've told him this. He's like the AllBamaDoesIsWin of my Auburn friends if that puts it in perspective.

Very late. Theres no way he'd be a viable runner in the NFL. He's a system QB and would do well to convert to a WR when he finishes college.

He won't be playing qb in the league. He will be drafted as an athlete in the 5th round or lower.

I think he would probably do better going back to DB over WR. He has a year under his belt as a DB and was pretty good at it. I think he will probably find himself undrafted altogether and having to do the UDFA route as an athlete of some sort.

This could all change if he makes some seriously large strides with his accuracy, but his size will keep him away from the top 3 rounds unless he is just exceptional.

This is what I don't get. He's been money in crunch time but can't hit the broad side of a barn on the opening play of the game?

I think this season with the WR corp that Auburn has can do a lot for Nick's draft stock at QB. If he puts up good passing numbers teams will be willing to give him a chance a QB. I don't know about 1st round but maybe 2nd-3rd with a Heisman-like season
