Would have been great for him to go sooner but I think he will do well there

Good situation there for him.

After I realized he wasn't going in the 2nd round all I really cared about was going to a team with a good QB. So happy for him.

I wish he would have stayed. I'm all for leaving early but not to be a late 3rd rounder. Oh well

I just wanted him to go to a team with a good QB. He will do well with the colts. Happy for him there

Really not a better team for him to go into. Wayne is 36 coming off a torn ACL and Hilton is a vertical threat.

13th WR taken. He should've stayed.

He will be amazing in the NFL. His career will be long, like the best of our Ole Miss bests! Looking forward to following him.

I can't believe the Colts didn't consider your feelings before making a decision

Had he stayed, I think y'all would have a more legitimate chance at the SECCG. Not saying it still can't happen, but man is sure would've helped.

I'm actually pretty excited about the team. I'm not really a huge Colts fan or anything but they are a team I can pull for and I really think this team is one of the best opportunities for him to really do great. Very excited to see him in the future

Even a third rounder will make $500K a year. It's really hard to turn that down.

That and it's about getting to the 2nd contract sooner

Had Treadwell not came in and been the most dominant Freshman receiver I've seen in awhile Moncrief would've went higher IMO.

I hope he gets that 2nd contract but the NFL is a crazy league. I'm definitely a fan of his, except when the Colts play the Saints of course.

Very happy for him. As much as I wanted to see him back, he had to go for a few reasons:
1. Injuries happen and Donte doesn't have the money backing him like Oher and Manning did. An injury to Donte and he goes from 1.5mil over the next 3 years to 30k a year.
2. If he was to come back next year and be a first round pick, then he will get a second contract barring injuries. The kid is talented and talent doesn't disappear. He just happen to come into the draft with the most deep position group in a draft in draft history. There will be many Pro Bowl WRs in this draft. And let's be real, the Colts have always been loyal to their producing players. If Moncrief does his job, he'll be just like Harrison, Wayne, and now Collie.
3. Treadwell is just simply better. By much? Nah, because Moncrief is a great WR. Treadwell is just in a league of his own now. I'm not sure any WR in the SEC is in the same tier as Treadwell. Maybe North, but even that's probably a stretch.
4. Moncrief did everything he could at the combine. This draft was one of the most bizarre drafts I have ever seen. 90th overall while being the number 12 or 13 WR taken is pretty fricking good. Shows how absolutely deep this WR class was.
5. Moncrief has done great things for Ole Miss. The whole Feed Moncrief(hate the song or love it) really put a fire into this program. That Egg Bowl was probably the most fun the how Ole Miss fan base, as a whole, has ever had. Next season could have done great things for Moncriefs stock or killed it. We need to start putting out Juniors into the pro's if we are ever going to be a top half SEC football program.
Let the man eat. Be happy for him.

This, although, the superbowl was torture for me to watch. I grew up a Saints fan, but never missed a Colts game because of Manning. I was pumped the Saints won.

I think even Peyton was pumped in a way that the Saints won.
