Because the Braves swept the Reds.

Only Larry Munson fans who live in Athens, Georgia would understand the humor in the title of this thread.

It reminds me of a story Pat Conroy wrote, recounting his one visit to Sanford Stadium to watch Georgia play Tennessee.

He and a friend were sitting next to a 70 year old lady who was getting liquored up and yelling "Woof, woof, woof," at the top of her lungs. Conroy wrote she was really getting on his nerves.

She settled down in the second half and they started talking. The friend Conroy was with was from Valdosta, Georgia. When the lady found this out, she said, "they've got some good onions in Valdosta."

Conroy said he told this story to a group of people in Montana and nobody understood the humor of it.

I don't get it either. Was she thinking Vidalia when he said Valdosta? Is that what's suppose to make it funny?

It's still not even remotely funny. Conroy has written some good books, but did he expect that anyone would find that humorous?

People in montana, and probably anyone outside the southeast, probably don't know what a vidalia onion is anyway.

No, what's funny is that she was an honors graduate at UGA, and was still stupid.

Care to let all of who aren't fortunate enough to reside in Bogart in on the joke. Or are you Bogartians keeping it all to yourselves?

Bogart is a hick town located near Athens. People who live in Athens regard the little town with derision.
