First time if Fayetteville, Ark. After I recovered from the long arse drive, it is different than I thought. Nice clean town. The "country" vibe reminds me a bit of Athens before suburbia and Hope took over. The rolling hills of the Ozarks make for nice vistas.

Saturday is their Spring game. I have chatted up some locals in bars to see what they think about UGA and to a fault they feel like we under achieve. FWIW.

Overall, I would rank the town itself in the top 5 of the SEC from my experience. A&M is the only one I haven't spent time in.

I've never heard anything bad about the place, most of my mother's side of the family are all hawg people and went to college there. There's a small place in my heart for the razorbacks.

I would like to go to Fayetteville. It sucks that our game is in Little Rock this year.

Always heard great things about Fayettenam. Sucks they wanna subject our fans to Little Rock.

Regardless of what we think this is the general consensus around most the SEC. shite, most the nation. Shitting the bed on the national stage the past half decade hasn't done them a ton of good. Apparently Herbie started ripping the program a part during the 2012 game about how Georgia has underachieved and wilted in pretty much every big game and I feel like that sums up the national idea of Georgia football.

2012 SECCG helped I feel like show Georgia really can compete with anyone but it also confirmed the idea that Georgia does not win the biggins.

The answer to the underachieve thing is that we dont kick players out of school if they get hurt or dont develop athletically as expected, thus otherwise opening up moe spots on the roster.

See how they respond to that please, and report back.

I guess the only advantage to LR would be ability to fly in and out?

And Fayetteville and the surrounding area has grown by leaps and bounds since I went to school there and has much more to offer now than then. Months ago WG started a thread on the Arky Board about the LR game this Fall and there will be more info to come. LINK

I’ve been told by an Arky alum, there is a lot of money in Fayetteville. We were talking about going to the game this year, but I have no interest in Little Rock.

I went to Fville in 09 and was shocked. I was expecting a dump but honestly it's one of the better SEC towns I've been to so far. Dickson street is awesome and I'd put it up there with most other towns' "main drag" area. Also I completely did not realize that their stadium sits down in a bowl like ours does. They don't have a bridge type situation where you're right up on it, but you can definitely look in. I took this pic leaving the stadium

I was pleased with fville and would return.

Why is that thread locked, was that done by chicken, an arky admin, or does it happen automatically after a certain amount of time?

Come fall we need to get that thing open again.
