How many outright SEC championships does it take to be considered

a great head coach in your opinion? Is it fewer in the championship game era than it was pre SECCG?

Depends on what school they are coaching at. UK, Vandy, or State? 1 or even none (if they can at least challenge and have a 10 win season every once in a while).

I guess it does depend on what school they are at. 2 SECChamps at State or Vandy would elevate you to legend status.

SEC titles are harder to win now.
When the league had 10 teams, you gotta beat 9 teams.
Now the league has 14 teams, you gotta beat out 13 other teams.
Plus now you have the SEC title game.
To join the SEC coach hall of fame I'd say 4 for your career is the bar.
Any idiot can luck into one (Dubose and Chizik are exhibits A & B)
Two is quite an achievement.
Three is awesome.
Four = elite HOF worthy
