UF fans, when was the last time your team traveled out of state for a non-conference regular season away game?

And I'm not bashing since you play FSU every year just curious.

Holy shite. Every damn month this is asked.

Florida scared.

UF should have the #1 schedule in the country every year

Won't leave the state for OOC.

blah, blah, blah

Most of us would want a cool away trip like Wash, Colo, USC, BC, etc.

IT'S NOT HAPPENING while Foley is here.

Just check our SOS history. It's always plenty high.

We play Michigan in Dallas in 2017.

It gets repetitive, but until other schools start changing their scheduling habits UF isn't going to put itself at a competitive disadvantage.

I don't think playing at UCLA or North Carolina would put you at a competitive disadvantage. Would be great for recruiting although Florida is stacked you don't have to look too far.

Also, when was the last time you played an out of state non conference opponent in the regular season?

I think the last time was Syracuse in 1990, (fact check) Other than FSUcks, we sprinkle in some good competition like scUM and Georgia Southern.(Threw that in just because I am still upset) yes, I am tired of this scheduling and would gladly travel to see a better early opponent.

Unnecessary, they have plenty enough recruiting ammo without going to california for a meaningless game.

Damon Evans wanted to "increase the national brand" of UGA by playing away games at Arizona State, Oklahoma State, and Colorado. Our recruiting didn't really improve because of it, the games didn't help at all, and it royally fricked up our travel/body clocks.

UF does it right, IMO. Play the SEC, play your big OOC game (FSU), and the rest cupcakes. After all wins and losses are all that count, so why not add more wins?

Good points. I was thinking about it more from a fan's perspective. I know UGA fans were fired up about those trips.

I went to all 3. Had a great time, I'll always remember those trips. Still doesn't change the fact that it would have been exponentially better for our football team to just play a mid major at home though.

It is an additional opportunity for a loss that other schools aren't taking. I think the schedule gets a little stale, I'm just not sure there is much we can do about it for now.

They haven't left the state for an OOC game in like 30 years. I don't know why they're so scared.

If only there were some easily accessible source of such information, from, say, a computer or smartphone. Damn somebody ought to invent such a thing.

How many OOC true road games has Bama played in the last 10 years vs BCS teams?
