When asked about Ealy he said he is a "Mid to late 1st rounder. Watching film on that Mizzou defense, number 56, I dont know who he is but he is the best player on that defense." -Todd McShay

I don't think we'll miss a beat at DE with Ray and Golden. No worries there. I'm more concerned about LB and DB.

I think that we will be better than people think we will be. I feel like other people around the SEC still think last year was a fluke and the "real" Mizzou is our 2012 team.

And you know what? I'm absolutely fine with them thinkin that way. Reconcile by winning.

I hope they continue to underestimate us. I pray this happens...

I think if Ray or Golden, or lord forbid, both, go down, we're screwed on the ends. We don't have a Ray and Golden coming off the bench like last year.

Ray is a very good pass rusher, but he admits his run stopping game could have been better.

He could be better this year, which is nice, but still going to need a couple of backups for Ray and Golden.

Don't know much about him, but everyone is always talking up Charles Harris to be the next big time DE out of the ZOU.

We won't have the pass rush like we did but Charles Harris has been the talk of Spring and is a high potential guy.

I feel pretty good about the defense as a whole. Only glaring weakness right now is at LB and that is because we dont know any of them. I do believe Scherer will be a beast given time but how long will that take? Penton, Gibson, Cheadle, Dennis and Singleton should lock down the pass. That is a quick bunch. I really like this group. They will be out to prove something this fall.

I feel like that ESPN analyst that said that (don't know who he is) should have done a quick Google search to figure out who number 56 is

The segment wasnt to discuss Mizzou, just Ealy. And McShay only worries about names of guys who are in the draft. He will know Shane Ray's entire life story next year down to how many ounces he was when he was born.
