Out-of-State Dawgs

Being in Wyoming, I was wondering if Wyoming offered out of state college/university license plates. Upon further research, I found zilch. nada. nothing. Meaning, Wyoming offers ZERO license plates for out of state colleges. Although I'm not surprised about these findings, I am surprised the state doesn't even issue its own colleges or universities on a license plate.
Out of state Dawgs, other than those living in NC, SC, and TX, have you tried getting a UGA license plate initiated in your state? I have no shot in hell here in Wyoming... but I'm sure other states who don't currently offer UGA on their tag will petition to do so if enough people are interested.
I contacted Alumni presidents in 8 states this afternoon in regards to this particular subject.
As always, Go Dawgs!

GA offers plates for just about every SEC school
It's disgusting
It's disgusting

I know. It's so irritating that GA would allow plates for Auburn, Alabama, TN, USC, Fla, and now LSU & Ole Miss. Yet... the only states that offer a UGA plate in another SEC state are SC and TX.
I just barfed a little
I just barfed a little

I lived in AL for 2.5 years up until 2013. They don't have UGA plates, so I did the next best thing

Very cool
I understood that Alabama had a law passed that would not allow out of state colleges to have a license plate. I read somewhere that beginning this year the law has been slammed down and tags can be made available if enough people sign a petition.
And WTF IS THIS shite?

I wonder if, in 20 years or so, when we all have government ID bar-codes tattooed on the back of our necks......whether some of you proles will decorate them in red & black or with Georgia G's?...........like you do your fee-extorting state-mandated vehicle tracking plates.
I just barfed a little.

Sorry you're too poor to afford a specialty plate?

Guy robs a bank/kidnaps your wife/runs over a pedestrian/etc...how exactly should we identify his vehicle?

And how exactly are you affording YOUR specialty plate??
Is it coming from your salary as a government employee working on federally confiscated land?
Newsflash for you "high-roller": if you work for the National Park service........your wages have to be confiscated from producers like ME.....before they can be given to parasites like you.
Please show some Respect for those that pay your fricking salary. Thanks.

When I'm elected Governor, I'm going to use my bully pulpit to petition the State Legislature to do away with out of state school plates. I see red when I see a state of Georgia UF plate.

When I lived in GA, I had one. It is a whopping $35/year. That's less than $3/month.
And are you assuming I work for the NPS? Wow...
I suppose you should stop assuming things and realize there are more than governmental agencies that operate national parks. I work for a private organization inside Yellowstone, not the National Park Service.
But thanks for paying the guys who I know working for the NPS

Irrelevant.
The "park" itself exists only through government force and extortion.
Once they make a kill.....there is always a mixture of government buzzards, as well as Private buzzards........that swoop in and chew off pieces of the carcass.
But, hey. Whatever helps you sleep at night, right?

I've always liked SC's UGA plate. We also have a large group of Dawgs here and you'll see Lowcountry Dawg stickers.

Let's say you work at GEICO. Well, if it weren't for the need to have insurance, as deemed mandatory by the U.S. government, you would not have a job. It's just the way things work.
Then why did people ever VOLUNTARILY purchase car insurance back before the government stuck their nose in and made it mandatory???
This is sad. Typical, but still sad. So, let's compromise........ Please reconsider smearing UGA by putting any of its logos on any of your possessions.
