Did they sell the house piglet? If so, that is on the title company and they owe the money, not the person who sold the house. That is why you do a title search and have title insurance. Closing agent should have included it on the HUD if the house was sold.

Personal property tax includes vehicles. Perhaps they thought since they were moving and switching registration they wouldn't pay it?

Podunk?? Ever been to Jonesboro?? I live in Jonesboro and work in Memphis. Jonesboro has everything Memphis has except the Grizz, a zoo, and a lot of violent crime.....Jonesboro is very nice. I CHOSE it over every burb in Memphis.
