That's an appropriate comparison. He also identifies some parallels between the NCAA and the former Soviet Union. Maybe not the timeliest comparison but it's still accurate.

Ftr Former LSU Basketball coach Dale brown said this long ago. He referred to them as Nazis. He's also the only coach with the balls to straight up tell the NCAA to go frick themselves when they wouldn't let a player'a dying wish come true. He later called them and said he was going against their rules and they said " we told you couldn't." He said "I know. That's why I'm calling to report the violation that we are granting his final request and flying his friends to visit him on his death bed. They're in their way now.

always liked dale brown ... didn't know any specifics about that situation, but he seemed to be someone who didn't give a frig about stupid rules ...
