I suppose a total collapse of the permitting process could derail them, but I doubt it.

I'm glad they are coming here instead of Rogers.

This is my second post about this, so yeah, I'm too excited about a grocery store. This is sort of close to my 'hood, too. So its great for property values and such. I like Ozark Natural Foods, though. I hope this only makes them better and doesn't kill them off.

WF, F-N A

Another piece of the puzzle that I can use to convince my wife that we need to move back to Fayetteville. She absolutely hated the fact that we had to give up Whole Foods when we moved back here from Atlanta. This is very good news.

Where is bearo? You all realize LR has had one for a few years now.

I love whole foods- would prob go in there every other day if there was one close to me.

I was letting them have a moment. Whole Foods is great and all, but I prefer tKroger for my shopping needs. Walking distance has its perks, such as very short drives.

Yeah, I know LR has had one for a few years.

LR also has 300k more people than NWA.

I get to live in Fayetteville and shop at a Whole Foods. Nobody in LR has that, bitches.

Nah they can thrive together. We have a Whole Foods-esque store here in Springfield that is actually one of the big sponsors of the local co-op.

Fayetteville's population is considerably smaller than Springfield.

Metro population is more important to most national companies. NWA is bigger than SGF.

Have you ever driven 540 on a weekday? Do you really think the rich bentonville people are going to drive down it to stock up on organic apples? That could be a two hour drive. Sure the hardcore people will do it on weekends, but I'm not so sure weekend traffic alone can sustain both stores. They have their own "fresh" market. I think ONF will die if whole foods opens.

I'd love to see the number of people who will destination shop for organic foods. I'm sure nielson has data, maybe I'll look around later.

Maybe I'm stupid, but what's the difference between Fresh Market and Whole Foods?

tWife and I used to shop at both in Little Rock and they're essentially the same, though Whole Foods had a better/bigger prepared foods section.

I don't think they are all that different. I think the typical WF is slightly larger than the typical Fresh Market.

Do tell...
