interesting read

quote:

That's because Johnson went silent, even to a lot of his close friends at A&M, and hasn't been heard from publicly since — almost a year and a half later. His mother, however, offered good news for those who've been concerned not only with whether Johnson would ever suit up again, but with his state of mind.

“He's working out, he's getting in shape, and he shall return,” Hanks vowed.

I hope he can get right mentally to where he can play ball again , whether for us or someone else. He was really starting to blossom when he disappeared

his mom is saying hes doing great and that he is going to be playing football again. something happened to him at a&m. they wont say what it is and to quote the article "what happened at a&m is in the past". curious

Yeah people have always alluded to something happening and said he wouldn't be returning.

this was not the first time he disappeared which is partly why no one seemed that concerned. It was almost normal by that point (though most times he showed back up within a day or so).

It's easy to see now that the kid had a problem. But as a coach when a guy misses practice, can't be found/contacted, and can't explain anything, a relationship starts breaking down. I think TJ is well-liked for the most part, but it's pretty hard to see how he could start over with the same staff.

He needs a fresh start.

I did too.

Glad he's doing well, but other than that this article was pointless.

That whole thing was just bizarre. Good, talented receiver but the vanishing act is just advertising that he wasn't all the way there, upstairs. If he had problems with the coaches, that's a funny way of showing it. But wish him the best of luck in his football endeavors......whatever he decides to do.

He sounds like he's bipolar or hyperstressed out or something. Regularly goes missing for 1-2 days? Normal people do not do that...

Bipolar disorder is almost a perfect description of that kind of behavior, makes sense, Mr. Hand.
