I don't have a problem with some of it but taken together it does sound a bit extreme, especially given how much money Bama's AD has.
Not everything should be sponsored or sold to the highest bidder. Bama and a lot of SEC schools have plenty of heroes whose names should grace the walls/building before some random fan donor. For example, I'm still pissed that the Haslam's grabbed the naming right to the music building without so much as hyphenating it to include Dr. Julian.

Selling names on bricks on sidewalks or selling the name on a building is not exploiting or pimping the University. Selling lockers and broom closets is a way of exploiting your fanbase. You know there will be bammers saving the cig and beer money or Jrs trade school funds, because they think they can get Henry's locker.
