going forward?

I see SC and Vandy keeping up what they've been doing and earning national seeds.

Kentucky and LSU could also get themselves into the mix.

How many bids does the SEC get this year? I could see as many as 11 and 7 being the minimum.

This weekend will really give a better picture of what SC and Arkansas are like. SC hasn't had to go on the road (2-2 record w/ series loss @UK) and Arkansas is always a tough out for us.
On the flip side, this seems like a down year for Arkansas so far but they're still capable of taking the series from SC.

I honestly don't know. My optimism is dwindling.

It's hard to say. OM appears to be a week by week team.

Fun fact, the road team in this series has won like 8 of the last 9 games.

If LSU can't figure out how to hit, especially with RISP this weekend, then I think it's going to be a down year for my Tigers. I think they still make a regional though. Expectations will be pretty low if they shite the bed again this weekend.

If I had to state a prediction right now, I'd say we will be getting an invite to someone elses' regional.

Mississippi State has a big two weeks. If they can come out of the LSU and Ole Miss series within a game of the SEC lead, the schedule sets up nicely for a run to the first conference title since 1989.

Should host a regional - could be the year that five SEC teams get hosting spots. South Carolina looks awesome. Vandy, Florida and Mississippi State look good for hosts, and like you said - Kentucky and LSU could definitely make a run at it.

Once you get to the Super Regionals, anything could happen. MSU caught fire against a much better Virginia club last year and rode all the way to the national championship series. Ole Miss has had some unbelievably good teams recently that can't get over the Super hump. So, I consider a season successful if you make the Super Regionals.

Our pitching will keep us in a lot of games, but our hitting will keep us from winning some of them too
