Heard on KC Radio: Mizzou and A&M changed the SEC more than the SEC changed them

Kevin Kietzman just said this on 810 WHB's Between the Lines. His argument was this:
- Mizzou won the East because of their speed and Pinkel's superior coaching/offseason adjustments.
- 2013 SEC CG was fast paced and high scoring more like a game out of the Big 12.
- Alabama hiring Kiffin proves they are trying to change to keep up with TAMU and Mizzou, every other team is changing too - no evidence given.
- TAMU and Mizzou are fast. Saban and Bert's HUNH rule change proposal proved the entire SEC is scared.
Thoughts?

Mizzou won the East because UGA was decimated by injuries, UF and UTk are in the pits, and USCe pulled its annual "lose a game it shouldn't" magic act. They got the lucky breaks they needed to get to Atlanta, no different than any other team any other year in the SEC.

Speaking for UGA, our two best running backs are track stars. Our receivers are former state champion track stars. And UGA isn't the only team built with athletes like that. TAMU was fortunate to have a guy like Manziel appear out of the blue and get them to ten wins and Cotton Bowl/CFA Bowl berths. Mizzou was shite last year and was only good enough to win the East and the Cotton Bowl this year.
Remind me where either of these teams won the conference or a BCS bowl?

They won the East because it was weak. UGA had a ton of injuries, UT has been down, UF collapsed. Those are the Big 3 in the East.

I think that's more due to Auburn. A&M probably had something to do with it too but Mizzou had zero effect on that.
