Based on most wins this season? I saw kills propose this idea somewhere to someone and it seemed like a damn good idea so I stole it. Anyone interested? We will sort out the details later, but I'm thinking losing team changes their sig pic to something agreeable to the winning team until the start of next baseball season or until Mizzou football or hoops wins a natty, whichever comes first.

Cards team:
Killz
the808bass
Mizz-SEC
Remote Controlled
ZouDawg88
Reedus
ZouDerrty
MIZ_STL
Sleeping Tiger
Coach P
semotruman
Tom Sawyer

Royals team (it's lonely at the top):
KCMIZSEC
TigerNick
everytrueson
Tbirdspur2010
MizzouJim

So you'd be willing to be the sig pic creator for the Royals team?

You trying to steal my thunder, Zeus?!!!

Yeah, I'll take this sig bet. So what are the terms? Simple bet on which team ends the regular season with the best record?

If so, I choose the Cardinals. If I win, anyone who takes this bet must use a sig pic of my design for the entire college football season, playoffs included. If I lose, I'll sport whatever sig y'all choose for me for the same amount of time.

Do you agree to these terms? (Remember, this is a binding contract)

If you think the Royals are going to win more games than the cardinals this season, please send me some of what you're smoking. The cardinals are stacked this year and are World Series favorite. The over/under on the royals win total has been set at 82 wins by Las Vegas.

Royals fans, unless you want to sport cardinals shite on your sig all season, this is a foolish bet.

A more realistic wager is whether the Royals will finish within 10 wins of the cardinals.

Vegas. What the hell do they know? They had the over/under on mizzou football at 6 last year!

Lets review how the Royals have improved and the Tigers have declined maybe this will ease your concerns:

Royals Improvements:
-Wade Davis is no longer in the starting rotation
-A black hole no longer exists at 2nd base
-We have a legitimate leadoff hitter, not someone like Escobar who refuses to use the opposite field and hope can bat .250
-Billy Butler will most likely improve upon last seasons results
-Yordano Ventura is the # 5 starting pitcher (probably win AL rookie of the year)
-Our Bullpen remains stackedwith Louis Coleman, Greg Holland, Aaron Crow, Wade Davis, Tim Collins, Kelvin Herrera, and Patrick Shuscter/Francisley Bueno
-Omar Infante > Chris Getz
- Outfield of Aoki, Gordon, Cain
-Bench of Dyson, Maxwell, Hayes, Valencia
-Did I mention no Chris Getz?
-signed Jason Vargas and playing behind solid defense and bigger Kauffman stadium his numbers could improve

Tigers on the decline
-new manager who has never managed
-traded a key starting pitcher in Doug Fister, and got nothing valuable in return
-lost their starting shortstop for the season who played excellent defense, and now most likely replaced with someone who will hit .240 if they're lucky
-Verlander is having elbow issues
-No way Anabial Sanchez repeats last season's performance
-Victor Martinez is 36
-traded for Ian Kinsler, numbers were mostly inflated by playing in Texas, and will see a significant decline.
-Have a rookie starting at first
-bullpen sucks

Our starting rotation will be a major issue this year.

Vargas? The dude is a career 4+ ERA pitcher who is in his 30's.

Chen and Guthrie are poised for major drop offs. I don't see much chance that they are able to repeat their 2013 seasons.

I anticipate Chen/Guthrie moving to the bullpen mid-season to make way for Kyle Zimmer. We don't need them to pitch like James Shields. We need them to duplicate last season's performance and Guthrie certainly can pitch to ERA in the low 4's.

First, let me state that sig bets are for tools. I am not a tool.

That being said, I'll back up any and all shite that I've talked to TigerNick by joining in.

If the Royals actually win more games than the Cardinals, then something catastrophic has happened. Either that or the Royals have turned into the late 90's Yankees.

I sincerely doubt either of those things happen. So, count me in.

2. Kansas City Royals

PROJECTED LINEUP

*Norichika Aoki RF
Omar Infante 2B
*Eric Hosmer 1B
Billy Butler DH
*Alex Gordon LF
Salvador Perez C
*Mike Moustakas 3B
Lorenzo Cain CF
Alcides Escobar SS

PITCHING

James Shields SP1
*Jason Vargas SP2
Jeremy Guthrie SP3
*Bruce Chen SP4
Yordano Ventura SP5
Aaron Crow RP
Greg Holland CL
* -- lefty; # -- switch-hitter

Jerry Crasnick @jcrasnick: The Royals took a significant step forward with 86 victories last season, and anything other than a playoff berth is going to be a disappointment. With three Gold Glovers (Salvador Perez, Eric Hosmer and Alex Gordon) and an emphasis on athletes around the field, they play as entertaining a brand of defense as any team in the majors. Hosmer keeps getting better, and no less an authority than George Brett thinks Mike Moustakas is ready for a breakout year. Luke Hochevar's elbow injury hurt the bullpen depth, but the Royals have lots of power arms to bridge the gap from the starters to closer Greg Holland. Yordano Ventura and his 100 mph fastball will be fun to watch at the back end of the rotation, and it won't surprise anyone if Danny Duffy and Kyle Zimmer arrive from the minors to contribute at some point this season. Detroit is still better than Kansas City on paper, but the Royals are a good bet to pass Cleveland and take second in the AL Central.

Jim Bowden: The Royals could make the playoffs for the first time since Brett was their third baseman in 1985. They have arguably the best overall defense (including five players nominated for Gold Gloves last year) and bullpen (which led the AL in ERA last year) in the American League. Hosmer and Perez are primed to have breakout All-Star, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove-type seasons while rookie pitchers Zimmer and Ventura could be the difference-makers by season's end.

Only team projected above us is the tigers, and like I said they have serious issues
