The right call is always a good call.

The Royals have been my second favorite team, period. Grew up as a kid watching Brett. Used to love U.L. Washington and his toothpick. But it's not beneath me to jump in on some good natured fun with our friends across the state. I hope the sig bet comes down to the last weeks of the season. Could make for some interesting threads. All in good fun.

It doesn't matter if this bet is even or not. I'll create the sigs with input from the other Cardinal fans, and y'all can do the same for us.

Not difficult

Well that is usually why the best overall team wins isn't it, otherwise, the Yankees with Mark Texeria, Alex Rodriguez, C.C. Sabathia, Derek Jeter, weren't even the postseason last season. Great teams can be built by fielding the best overall group of players, and the Royals do have a Prince/Braun combo in fact we have a

Hosmer/Gordon/Butler/Moustakas/Perez combo with 5 20+ homer players, and the potential for two 30+ homer players

Meh. I think they need to be called out to support their team to some degree. I've already backed off making it closer to 1 to 1 and said just get it close and I'll jump.

I'd jump in to even it up a little but I don't care about baseball nearly as much as football and it's likely I'd wind up with some absurd kills sig for football season

One of the greatest hitters of all time. As a kid, really didn't pay attention to anything other than what he did on the field.

I've never backed out. I've said from the get go, they gotta get their numbers up. If anything, I've eased up on saying get it to 1 to 1. Makes no sense that there be 100 fans putting something at risk up against just 1 guy putting something at risk. Get your damn numbers up Royals fans.

MIZ COU

Reedus

Translation: I have serious doubts about my teams abilities considering we play in the same division as the Pirates, and Reds. The Royals already managed to win 86 games last season with virtually no 2nd baseman, no #5starting pitcher, and no leadoff hitter. They managed to improve in these areas and now I'm worried the Cardinals will no longer be the center of attention in October anymore.

They truly are a pathetic fan base.

Thats wishful thinking. Only one hit 20 homers last year and that was Alex Gordon at 20. While it would be nice to see these numbers increase Moustakas and Hosmer have not developed the pop at the ML level that they showed in the minors and that should be and is troubling.

Killz, I vote for bringing back the drive by van crapping, but replaced with Fredbird hanging out the window and the KC mascot (a lion?) underneath. But I defer to your better judgement.

Brett was before my time (as well as the royals being competitive ) so I have no attachment or admiration for him. To me he's just a hall of famer who played for the royals of old.

MS2...you're fricking all over the place. I think MIZ COU was saying they'd jump in on the Royals side to even it up but doesn't want to get stuck with a Killz sig.

Go get more Royals fans and I'm in. I already said I want in. I just want to see that there are more than 2 Royals fans in the state.

In fairness, the royals fans are "risking" a whooooollleee lot more than cardinals fans so numbers would serve to offset some of that. We all know the odds of this bet are laughably in favor of STL

-Butler has hit 30 in a season
-Gordon is now a sure bet for 20 every season
-Salvador Perez is only 23 and hit 13 last season and his power should continue to develop
-Hosmer had one HR at the June 1 mark last season, and finished with 18 HR's
-Moustakas is going to breakout this season, and has already hit 20 HR's in his first season but his numbers this spring suggest a much better approach he hit 4HR's but what was encouraging was he had more BB's than strikeouts

KCMO...you jump in and I'm in. Your handicap isn't in number of games but in number of posters at risk as you say. It's about 3 to 1 as of now.
