Sorry, phone was too quick to post.
But I know I made some threads about going to A&M but I got my acceptance letter tonight so I'm pretty excited.
I can't say my loyalties to the athletic teams will change but I can't wait to get out to A&M in the fall.

you'll become an Ag. Maybe not that first game, but after that, you'll be all in. We're a cult and shite

The pull of the jar is...inevitable, Mr. Anderson.

While I may always root for SC I can definitely say that in only 1-2 days that I was completely sold on A&M, the Bush School, and the BCS area as a whole. The fact that I get to see some SEC play (and see my beloved Gamecocks in 2015) is just a superb bonus.
And FWIW, I personally have no military experience, but I have a lot of family that does. Also, the state of SC has more military history and supports the military more than I think people realize, so all the traditions that are rooted in the military heritage of A&M is awesome to me.
Hates orange: check
Has an awful record vs rival but doesn't stop me from thinking we're better: check
24 years of yelling go cocks aka doesn't get affected by gay jokes: check

that's awesome. Hopefully you'll be rooting for us in everything except against SC. You'll get to experience the new stadium your last year too so that should be pretty special. Welcome to jizz jars, male cheerleaders and the best alumni network in the United States

Welcome to Aggieland. There is only one small piece of advice that you are ever going to need while at A&M; stay AWAY from Bryan
(that is unless you need to get your Vice fix. If thats the case, Bryan is not one bad of a town to get wild, or so I'm told...)

Bryan's not a bad place at all and a great place to get away from the same douche bags one sees every day. Also the pond near the Bush school is a spot I like to go chill in.

Imagine being born and raised there.
I'm on a first name basis with several Bryan cops.

Congrats. I still live in College Station even though I work out in the oil field and I'm gone more often than not. Any time you want to go to ng and pick up women, lemme know.

Also, you definitely need to get your first pair of cowboy boots.

You will never regret your decision. We are a strange bunch at times for sure but it's a special place and a great network. You can get as involved as you want or just sit back and watch the craziness.
I actually like Bryan, especially the Texas Reds festival and downtown area. There are some ROUGH spots though but it's not like every part of Columbia is great either.
Glad to have you aboard!

Agreed. Take it from me, I went all 4 years of college at A&M without any cowboy boots, and now my current Aggie gf (who I did not know at A&M) nearly had a heartattack when she found out I didn't own any boots. Trust me, just save yourself from having to play 21 questions and just get some damn boots. It'll be well worth it in the long run
And congrats on the acceptance! You're going to love it
