Even though I'm living in FL, I unfortunately had the honor of hearing Finebaum's opening rant on UA player entitlement. While he sounded like a douche as usual, he made a good point.

At what point do we stop blaming the young players and look instead to the guy making $7 mil, and who recruited/coached those players?

Granted he can't watch every one of them all the time, and thugs gonna thug, but it isn't really fair to blame a handful of freshmen who barely played, if they played at all. I think the senior leadership, outside of Mosley and Norwood, was lacking.

Saban's inability to comprehend the HUNH compounded things a bit at the end of the season too. And now we have to bring in a transfer QB because all of the 4/5* QBs we have/have had on the roster can't cut it?

While I'm sure many young (and older) guys felt entitled, I don't think we can lay all, or even most, of the blame on them.

Losses to AU, Oklahoma, and A&M last year would suggest that. Plus A&M carved us up this year, though a lot of that is due to Mike Evans, but still. It's been our achilles heel, while LSU can completely shut that shite down.

LSU lost to Ole Miss, we didn't. Look, we lost two games. Get over yourself.

I know right? The way they kept Ole Miss to just over 200 yards and shut them out while our defense gave up 525 yards and 27 points in a loss was really frustrating. Oh wait

I meant LSU vs A&M. I'd like to go undefeated, since we've gotten lucky the last two times we went to the NC.

We lost to Auburn on a special teams play? I swear Finebaum is retarded and knows less about football than a 2nd grade girl.

Saban owned Bobby Petrino, he owns Hugh Freeze, and he beat Gus Malzhan twice when he was the OC...

It wasn't about that. It was about AJ laying blame on the younger players, with the older players backing him up. Except idk how those players could have torpedoed the season when they barely played. It would be nice if someone came out and took ownership of it, whether it was AJ, or players, or coaches, whoever.

2013- Florida State lucks out with one of the most incompetent criminal investigations. Lucks out with an ACC Championship Game against DUKE.
2010- Auburn comes back from a 24-0 deficit to stay unbeaten. Clemson is called for a false start on a made FG in OT and misses the second attempt. Last minute FG drive vs Kentucky. Last minute FG drive at MSU.
2008 Florida- Overcomes home loss to Ole Miss to reach BCSNCG
2007 LSU- Jumps from #7 to #2 in final BCS standings after EVERYONE ranked above them that played that weekend lost.
2006 Florida- Overcomes loss at Auburn and blocks not one, not two, but THREE kicks to beat South Carolina by one
2005 Texas- USC blows a double digit lead in final minutes with some of the worst clock management by a coach not named Les Miles
2004 USC- Overcomes double digit second half deficit to a Stanford team that would finish season with losing record.

EVERY team that wins a NC has to have some luck.

Saban is the greatest coach in the game today and one of the best ever. You simply can't win them all.

Did you think Saban couldn't handle the pro-style offense in '10 after losing to USCe and LSU?

I'm not sure why what I said is so controversial. We have struggled with the up tempo offense for the last couple of years. I know we can't win them all, but thinking that our dynasty has come around because of a lot of luck kind of sucks. I love the Ws we've gotten, but we have enough talent on both sides of the ball and on staff to not lose on a 109 yd FG return, or fail to show up for a big bowl game.

I am tired of some people blaming the losses to Auburn and Oklahoma entirely on the defense. Sure, they didn't play their greatest, but the offense didn't either. Against Auburn in the 4th quarter, Bama couldn't convert in the red zone to put Auburn away to save their life and the defense gave them ample opportunities. Against Oklahoma the offense turned the ball over 4 times, 2 of which the Oklahoma defense immediately reversed the field position, and all 4 turnovers directly resulted in touchdowns. Can't expect the defense to hold all 12-14 opponents to 7 points. Sometimes the offense needs to win a game or two.

Sounds like the guys that have won two National Titles have said where the problems were, but you're not hearing that.

The Oklahoma game was an anomaly just like South Carolina in 2010. There's no real meaning to be taken away from that one. We just got beat... badly.

Yeah, they're pointing everywhere but themselves. Last time I checked, football is a team sport. After every loss, our players have always said that it's not one players fault, it's everyone's. So what's changed now?
