Losses to AU, Oklahoma, and A&M last year would suggest that. Plus A&M carved us up this year, though a lot of that is due to Mike Evans, but still. It's been our achilles heel, while LSU can completely shut that shite down.

Of course Sun Belt Conference level CB's had nothing to with that.

I'd like to go undefeated, since we've gotten lucky the last two times we went to the NC.

I think I know who the entitled one is here.

We had a down year. Every team has one. Only our down year is still 11-2.

What went wrong?
-We had an OLB that played assignment football about as well as I could in the AU game.
-Cooper dropped a sure TD.
-Foster is a great person, but a lousy kicker. #bamafansforCade
-Our corners were sorry as frick.
-Our oline was below standard.
-Our OC went full retard in both the AU and OU games.
-Our coach made the wrong decision on the field goal. Should have done a hail mary. Hindsight is 20/20.

Despite the many weaknesses of this team we were still one play away from playing in the SECCG and then the BCSNCG.

This year our team had far too many weaknesses. It was crystal clear from my seat in the GA Dome at the beginning of this year that this was not the same team as 2012. Whatever strength our defense showed in that game was quickly erased in the ATM game.

Thankfully 2013 is over. 2014 may be a rebuilding year, but there should be a lot of energy this year. And 2015?

why the continued melt? we lost 2 games, in which we outgained the opposing team by 100 yards each time but had offensive or ST miscues, 5 turnovers against OU and missed field goals against and coverage against auburn. the defense played well enough in both of those games to win comfortably. stuff happens in football, and there is a reason no one has ever 3-peated, because its pretty much impossible to get all the balls bouncing your way 3 years in a row (and yes, everyone who plays for or wins a championship had luck to get there)

Don't lose faith. Even fair-weather fans would sit through an 11/2 season. Obviously you were not around for the dark times. Enjoy the game, appreciate the team, and remember it is about FUN!

I remember in 06, (we've had darker times before that as well.) I went to Gainsville and while standing in line to go in the stadium Florida fans were harassing my friend and I about how Florida was going to whoop Alabama's arse and didn't stand a chance. You know normal trash talk. We just turned to them and said, "Yeah, we know. We're not very good. You're not telling us anything we don't know."

1st i did not read the entire thread.

2nd obviously, the op thinks he knows more about the situation than the people that were actually involved.

3rd if i remember correctly? cj said basically the same thing. guys weren't doing their jobs correctly. so does cns stay with a guy thats knows what to do and just isnt doing it? or does he go with a guy that may not know what to do, but will try?

4th as far as this past years a&m game. when we put belue on evans, we blew them away. then belue got hurt and nobody else could cover evans. seems as tho folks forget this tiny detail.

5th nobody will make me believe that nussmeiers play calling wasnt more responsible for the losses than anything. nobody can just leave their defenses on the field against those offenses and expect to win

It wasn't about that. It was about AJ laying blame on the younger players, with the older players backing him up. Except idk how those players could have torpedoed the season when they barely played. It would be nice if someone came out and took ownership of it, whether it was AJ, or players, or coaches, whoever.
"I had two turnovers, ended up scoring 14 points, and we lost by 14," McCarron said. "It happens. I wish it wouldn't have happened, but I'll definitely take the loss and definitely take the blame, because a lot of it is probably my fault."
