May have a chance to get back into athletics somehow but it is in this town and I do not know anything about it. Hope can get some answers.

I have been there. It's a very small town near Laurel. Very small. It's less than 30 minutes to Hattiesburg, though, so you're not completely removed from civilization. You could live in H'burg and commute.
As far as the town goes, the only thing memorable was a fantastic catfish restaurant. Charlie's, maybe? I'm not even a fan of catfish, but that place was so good I would recommend it to anyone.
