Tindol is 6'6 270 lbs and looks to move pretty well for someone his size. He plays OT/DE for Autuaga Academy in Prattville, AL

His film was sent out Saturday and he was offered Wednesday. Vanderbilt has big needs right now but I'm not sure that filling the class just to fill it out (which will make Vandy fans feel better) is the best way to go for them. Playing it conservative might serve them better as it reserves roster spots for next year. Then again, I'm sure Mason understands their roster needs far better than I. He went to the same school as Bama's 2013 5* O.J. Howard so if I can't understand why he wasn't noticed until his coach sent out tape on Saturday unless his Junior year just wasn't impressive (Jr. year is the money year for HS recruits so it's more than possible that's the reason).

Hopefully, he's a decent pick up for them. Franklin did them beyond dirty.

Autuaga Academy is a pretty unimpressive school, small classification with very few players period with a notable collegiate future. Even with Howard last year, they didn't get that much more publicity.

Looks like Mason is is taking a page out of Stanford's book, finding a big body and mold him into something.

Still I would think the press of the 2013 year would at least get him some looks new scouts, coaches and others whod've been thee fro OJ bus hut souled more oline to scout them, especially while OJ was there as Tindol would've been a Jr. when the OK+J madness was in full bloom, he like would've been watched too and that's the money year for HS players. But good recruits go unrecognized every single cycle. It's just super odd that his coach only sent out his tape this Saturday and he only got an offer the day before signing day. Who knows why, I just find the Jr. year being less than stellar and Tindol being a late bloomer a plausible reason for him being overlooked if he's a decent to good player.

But again but you have to admit it makes sense that it might've been his junior year that hurt him (recruiters and scouts seem obsessed on that year no matter the circumstance. JMO.

Mason should, given his experience, live up to the idea that he can spot talent and I hope for Vandy's sake he does.

I just love any 2* ready to take the world by storm. Hope hs sticks and plays well for them.

The kid could have had a growth spurt/put on serious weight only recently. If he is only say 6'3 or 6'6 210ish pounds around summertime then starts filling out quickly, he easily could fly under the radar.

If you watch the film, the kid moves decently and plays aggresively. He definitely isn't going to start early (hopefully for Vandy's sake) but I think they have a body to work with and some athletic ability. He could be solid 3-4 years down the road

I remember never knowing what to think about OJ Howard since he played there. Clearly he was athletic but I didn't know for sure if it just was playing with a bunch of unathletic kids
