Agreed. Maybe my least favorite mizzou team ever. Hard to watch.

I won't watch it. The OOC was painful enough and I kept waiting for things to click or change and it didn't so unless things change, the last game I will have watched was the UGA game if you want to call it a game.

I'll catch hell, but I so wish this team played like SLU. I can watch their games every night of the week. Solid defense. An offense with a clue. Unselfish. Effort. Heart.

The zone defense is a train wreck.

It's very hard to watch Mizzou attempt to play basketball.

I've seen much better team play at the local Y.

I'm losing faith in Haith at light speed. This can't go on.

So you have 2 players that average nearly 20 points per game each. How bad do you have to be at all other aspects of the game to lose to teams like UGA at home and to a team that has kids playing that walked in off of the campus just fill out a team?

Agree 100% on the SLU BB team. Terrific coaching, a joy to watch them run that offense and play hard defense.

Watching basketball on TV from that Vandy facility is horrible. The camera angle is all wrong and the set up is idiotic.

Its very very similar to a Quin Snyder team. Remember when hyped Kareem Rush/Clarence Gilbert teams used to go on the road and lose at DePaul or at Nebraska or Iowa State type teams that would end up with 14-16 records or so?

Yeah, good times.

The thing that kept the early Quin teams afloat was the strength of the Big 12. He could dick around, go 9-7 and finish fifth or sixth, and still slip into the Big Dance b/c the conference's RPI was so strong.

What we have now is essentially the same sort of Quin team on so many levels (lack of ball movement or structure, defense optional, chuck a three whenever you feel like it etc), and Clarkson/Brown swap easily for Rush/Gilbert in terms of style and who our best players are. But the HUGE difference now is we are in a league that is chock full of those Nebraska/DePaul type teams.

The question is what would a Quin team look like if it played those kinda teams not just a couple times in the Big 12 but instead played them 7 or 8 times in the SEC. The answer is, apparently, they'd lose most of them the same way those Quin teams usually did: dick around early and go down by double digits, scramble to get back with your shooting and some one on one individual talent, ultimately lose it in the final minutes, then hit some meaningless shots at the end to make it look close.

Trouble with that Quin formula is you just CAN'T make the Big Dance in the SEC that way. Too many bad teams and RPI killers on the schedule. 9-7 in this league just won't cut it. And right now we're in a scramble mode just to even make it to 9-7 or 10-8 or however many games our conf schedule is.

IF I really thought they were trying, and making progress, I think I'd feel differently. Unfortunately, the effort looks way less than 100%, and instead of making progress, they look to be regressing. We have the talent to be top 3 in the conference, but we're playing very poorly. That's the disappointment.

And yes, ATX, I think we've officially turned that SEC corner.

I lost interest after Norm left. Even when we've had good teams, they just haven't been as interesting to watch.
