Very true, you could even argue that the conference as a whole has accomplished quite a bit in the last 10 years. Hell, even some people up north now know Miss St. has a football team.

Right off the top, you´ve got 4 BCS titles and 2 BCS runner ups. But underneath that, consider the teams that didn´t quite get there. This year´s Alabama, last year´s A&M and 2011 Arkansas were all a hair´s breath away. Ole Miss and MSU fielded teams in the last five years that are arguably as good as this year´s Wisconsin but have to run the SEC gauntlet.
The success of the SEC over the last 8 years is unprecedented, but the success of the West in particular over the last 5 is simply astounding.

We went what 20-6 in the toughest division in cfb in our 1st 2 years. I'd say we did ok seein as how we did it with largely big 12 talent.

Show me a conference where the THIRD best team over the last 5 years compares to LSU. Or the FOURTH best team to A&M.
All the teams in the West have had stretches of success. If you don´t get that, and want to compare Mississippi State to Ohio State to be contrary, be my guest.
