The only thing proven last night

Is that Bama proved how hard it is to focus and stay motivated for a consolation bowl. No matter how good your coach is, how much talent you have, or how many fans are there to support you, being in a bowl that is disappointing is a hard, hard W to get. Plus, let's not forget OU isn't devoid of talent. Yeah, sure, the loss is entertaining, but in the grand scheme of SEC football things: it means nothing. Bama is still Bama and the SEC is still the SEC.
LSU fans: we should know a thing or two about consolation bowls/opponents and not being motivated. Have your fun, but we know what being a Bama fan feels like this morning.

I agree, but don't forget that no other fans wanted to hear that excuse after the Clemson game last year, so I doubt any non Bama fans will go for it today.

I tend to think Saban saw the writing on the wall before last night. OU was amped and Bama just wasn't motivated. It happens after a tough loss that breaks your season.

The Bama LT wasn't motivated, he got owned last night. His stock took a hit.
