He has me pulling for Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl. I didn't think that was possible.

He is part of Sumlin's coaching tree so I'll root for him at almost any school besides texas or baylor.

It might be a generational thing, but remove Kliff and I'd pull for Texas or Baylor or Al Qaeda or Adolf Hitler to make a comeback long before I'd pull for Tech. Which to me makes Kliff's mind control rays directed at me all the more impressive.

If we were still playing them and having to go to that dusty shithole in lubbock I wouldn't be, but for now they don't bother me.

Good point. Old lady told me, "Gotta pull for KK, and just block everything else out." Which makes sense, but I didn't think it would be this easy to block out eATMe shirts, old ladies cussing us out, etc. But I have.

Screwing me in a bowl pickem. My grandfather retired in AZ and I have to hear about how great ASU and their coach is. My grandfather who preached SEC football for years somehow likes to think that ASU and the PAC 12 is significantly greater than the SEC now

Biggest surprise in realignment for me has been that I'm now a closet Tech fan. I hated them more than tu throughout the 00's.
Second biggest surprise has been our improved recruiting West of Texas. I thought we'd get better at recruiting the East. Overlooking that we are the closest SEC option for Arizona/Cali kids

My feelings on Tech have changed significantly. I don't really root for them but I don't root against them. They can't hurt us but they can cause our real enemies lots of pain.
I have no desire to ever play them again though, not unless it is a bowl.
I used to actually like Tech quite a bit because I have a lot of family from West Texas. At some point in the '90s Tech became overwhelmed with Non West Texas people and lost its soul while it decided to compete to be as classless as possible. I remember going to the game in '91 and never hearing a foul word before or after the game in Lubbock. Ten years later they were throwing goalposts at us.
I have no desire to ever play them again though, not unless it is a bowl.
