Absolutely. Would be a good win for the SEC. South Carolina is absolutely playing out of their minds. Good for them though. Frank Martin is awesome.

I have no faith in this team. I have plenty in Martin long-term but this team isn't so good. The raw talent is there and still coming from recruiting but we're incredibly young.

Should've won at Baylor, now ranked #12. Got hammered at Clemson. Lost to Manhattan and USC Upstate, but now fighting with an NCAA tournament regular St-Marys.

Yeah I guess its the definition of what you'd expect from a talent but really young team.
Not the elite talent that you can just roll in and start winning (ie the basketball blue bloods) but talent that when they put together a good game they can hang with the Baylors and St. Marys. But then you see the youth and lack of cohesion against inferior opponents.

Its been too long since Gamecock basketball has been worth a damn. We love our basketball, hell why do you think we have an 18,000 seat venue? Unfortunately we've been so bad for so long, combined with the success of the football and baseball teams, basketball has kind of fallen off Gamecock fan's radar. But if we get good under Martin, like I believe we will, the CLA will be rocking as it can.

Shocked we won. Completely spaced on the game. I know its Hawaii but how the hell is anybody going to remember an 11pm tipoff?
Anyways its a great win for Frank Martin and shows that he can still get this team headed in the right direction. Pretty sure it was St. Mary's first loss of the season

We will still see some pretty lousy efforts from this team this season IMO: we're just so young, it's like a totally new team from last season. The veteran players that I expected to provide much needed offensive production - Carrera and Williams - have been MIA for much of the young season.
But with every win like this will hopefully come confidence and understanding what will be needed to become consistently competitive and start winning some of these games. Hopefully it all comes sooner than later, and if losing to USC-Upstate was needed to bring it on, then so be it.....
