Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel declared himself ready for the NFL, in his estimation, but said Wednesday he will seek advice from others before making himself available as an underclassman in the 2014 NFL Draft.

But the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner left no doubt that he considers his skill set sufficient to begin a professional career next season.

“In my mind, I think I am,” Manziel said in his strongest hint to date about his post-bowl intentions.

Not sure if he is coming back. Will wait to see what LSU fans say.

After all, they have so many inside sources at the airport, the FAA, banks, board of regents at numerous schools, boosters at other schools, and "other people in the know", etc.. etc.. etc.. etc.. to gather info on Saban.....

I will just wait on their posts to tell me what they know JFF will do next year.

No need for me to speculate.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that we all want Manziel to come back for two more years, FWIW.

As an LSU fan, I hope he comes back. He made our defense actually look good for a game.

Heard this after the Florida game last year. Board was covered with these proclamations. Never got killed through 2 seasons in SEC. Never missed more than a series or 2.

Maybe. Doesn't matter.

I'm guessing about 1-2% of the 10,000 posts on this subject that have popped up on Aggie boards over the past 18 hours (surprised it's taken so long to make its way over here) think he will return. And those are simply wishful thinking.

But whether or not he should return is meaningless (I certainly wouldn't if I were him). The crap he's dealt with from countless fools this year would make me run like hell from all of the silliness.

Look for Johnny on Sundays; not among the collegiate ranks.

His injuries were crucial against Auburn, LSU and Mizzou.

He should. He isn't going to be anymore successful in the NFL than he is in the NCAA, but I'm not sure anyone on earth has any doubt he will be entering the draft. It is what it is.

Why? I haven't seen anything indicating that he could increase his draft stock very much. Why spend another of the limited years one's body can endure high level football playing for free unnecessarily?

Were his injuries from huge bone crushing blows from sec defenses when he was running recklessly or from banging his hand on a helmet in the pocket?
