I seriously don't follow it at all. Lot of close battles? What is percentage split for recruits both want? Currently how do things stand? Just curious

How cute, you are following me around. Mad today because you have been giving your friends excuses all your life why Ole Miss hasn't been to SEC Championship and Mizzou does it in first year?

Now quiet, this isn't a troll thread. This is a discussion thread.

It varies by year. Last year Bama swept the top five in the state. This year, it appears that AU will get 3 and Bama is in good position to get two of the top five.

Some of the battles are close, like with Ronnie Clark. Others are decided earlier and stay decided like with Tre Williams. Still others go back and forth like with Reuben Foster. There really isn't a pattern to how the in state battles will go.

Georgia seems to be a more important battleground

I feel like in-state, we are pretty close to even depending on the year, but out of state, we are much better them.

I started with 2008 because that was Saban's first full class:

In state recruits in the top 10
2008
Bama 7
Auburn 0

2009
Bama 8
Auburn 2

2010
Bama 6
Auburn 3

2011
Bama 4
Auburn 5

2012
Bama 4
Auburn 1

2013
Bama 6
Auburn 2

2014 (Guessing)
Bama 4 (current commits plus Humphrey)
Auburn 5 (current commits plus Evans)

Bama will almost always split with Auburn in-state, even when Bama wasn't good in the 2000s, they still were getting a good bit of the top state talent.

Auburn seems to depend on getting a good bit of Georgia kids and Florida kids since a lot of those kids don't really grow up with hometown schools. Atlanta has a large Auburn presence so we have a good recruiting presence there and we have always seemed to be able to go to Florida and grab a solid chunk of talent from the state.

This would re-make Auburn into being LSU's rivals. They've been their biggest fans for two weeks.. hilarious considering months ago they swore they played a rivalry game.

"rivalry" must be fluid movement from season to season, week to week, month to month.

Hopefully we keep it like that, we hit Georgia and Florida hard.
