Did this guy have a falling out with the university over something (profiting off the athletics logos, maybe)? He's been noticeably absent from the stands for at least a couple of years now. 
I hear he's a dick in real life, so not like I really care......but still.

Saw him in Jacksonville this year. Dude is patient as a Saint, if you ask me. Could barely walk two steps up the ramp in Alltel Stadium without being mobbed by UGA and UF people, both, for pictures. Kindly stopped and acted enthused every single time even though you could tell the guy just wanted to go sit down.

SWMBO is a friend of his son's - she just ran into Big Dawg at the grocery store yesterday. Everything I've ever heard about the guy is that he is as nice as can be.

May be the case. Can't say since I don't know him. I had heard the opposite, but don't recall from whom and it's just their opinion anyway (likely based on a meaningless encounter where they were probably just as "dickish").
Still, he hasn't been around Sanford. Pretty sure he's not been there all year this year, and I don't think he was around last year either. Just curious as to what the reasoning was.

Mike's a really nice guy...he did try to get the UGA bloodline changed to his bulldogs and the Uni said no..but I doubt if that caused any riff..

Oh, and his absence seemed to coincide with him suddenly popping up on billboards in the Athens area promoting EMC Security. This is why I'm thinking the athletic department may be pissed with him because he's clearly now making money off of his image which happens to include a number of prominent, trademarked logos.

Yes, they are and they aren't dangerously inbred like Siler's. Saw one yesterday (SWMBO took a pic) and thought how good it looked as far as the breed goes. I'll see if I can't post a pic.

I have no issue with him. Just asked where he's been/why he fell off. There a problem with that?

You didn't just ask where he's been.......You floated some completely made-up rumor about him having legal troubles involving a clash with UGA.....a school he clearly loves and supports......and then added something about him being a "dick" that you heard from a neighbors cousin's plumber......
Own it.
Side-note: I saw him featured on some random travel show earlier this season.........where the host stopped by his tail-gate to see what College football tail-gating was all about. Everyone seemed to be having a good time....

Not floating a rumor at all. I simply wondered if there may be something going on (which is completely valid). And the article I found (I didn't write it) was just something I came across when searching to see if there might be a known reason for him being absent. The NCAA investigation, while probably meaningless in the grand scheme, could have been an issue. I don't know.

I said what I had heard once before. I didn't say I thought it was true or that he was. Simply repeated what I heard. That said, it was completely irrelevant to the question at-hand, so I digress. I own the fact that I could have left that out.

That's what a fricking bulldog should look like. I love Russ, but he's 40 pounds of skin and emphysema piled onto some stubby legs. Seiler's can kick rocks if they can't produce a better, healthier dog.

My biggest gripe with mike is that he has his own face plastered all over the back windshield of his truck.

No my back windshield is just a closeup of my shirtless torso. But I mean your face? That's just pushing it. And if memory serves it's the same picture on the left and right side so it's 2 mike woods.

He's not been inside Sanford in two years. Before that, he was a regular and wasn't hard to find. I am simply curious to know what happened and theorized that, based on the timing of his "disappearance" and the appearance of advertising featuring him (whereby he would have profited from the use of trademarked logos which will very quickly get you, at minimum, a cease-and-desist from the UGA AD [see "Dawgs for Sonny" and "Dawgs for Cagle" if you need examples]) that the two things might have been connected. Thought someone here might have heard something.
