Are you willing to give PJ another 2/3 yrs to right the ship?

If you could swap PJ for Cutcliffe today would ya?
Posted on 12/1/13 at 9:25 am to DawgCountry
I think Cutcliffe could make it a real rivalry again(given the 2 or 3 yrs necessary to bring in his guys). I'm just not sold on PJ making this rivalry a rivalry, ever.

He would have no success recruiting the best athletes either.

Serious question: What do you think makes it so hard for Tech to get those recruits?
Aren't entry requirements for athletes the same at every school?
I mean, I know that on average GT has a more demanding curriculum than most schools but, surely they have some class sets that are specifically designed to get athletes through school.
Am I wrong there?

Stanford would disagree? You will never recruit the best athletes running a wing t/ option though.

Duke and Stanford would disagree. Tech just sucks

Yes. And no. NCAA guidelines are the same, but each school has their own guidlines as long as they at least meet the NCAA guidelines. That said, Stanford does pretty well, and it would appear as if Duke is doing pretty well....as well as Notre dame. There are a lot of schools with guidelines as tough as Georgia Tech's that manage to do well. It is not as easy as it is for Georgia, but manageable.

No. GT has tightened the number of academic exception the administration will allow. It's not changing any time soon.

They have to take the same curriculum as regular students.
