Read the Mission Statement and then tell me why AJ doesn't deserve this award. Is he the best player in college football? Probably not. But that is not the criteria. There are other awards for best offensive, player, defensive player, etc.
Read the link before you spout off your naysaying.

He doesn't deserve the Heisman then.

You are right. But this mission statement started being ignored LONG ago. You are a voice crying in the wilderness on this one.

Yes I realize that I am a voice crying in the wilderness. Until recently, I had never read the Mission Statement and wasn't on the AJ bandwagon. The voters should have to sign a statement they have read the Mission Statement when they cast their vote

He's not even the most deserving on our team.

How hard is it to hand the ball off? Serious question.

Obviously you didn't read the criteria.
Read the criteria, if you can, and then say why AJ doesn't deserve the award.

Because he's not CJ Mosley.

ESPN is now trying to drum up support for BC's 2000 yard rusher that no one has ever heard of. I don't think I ever heard his name in the conversation until Manziel and Petty fell back to earth yesterday.

I'm fine with them giving it to AJ as a lifetime achievement award this year.

I respect AJ, but he's not a Heisman QB.

You're an idiot. It's a Mission Statement, that's it. They are always written incredibly vague and non-specific.

Hell, they specifically say "amateur athletics." That should automatically eliminate Manziel from contention right there.

He fits the criteria for the award better than JFF, and I am not saying he is a better QB than Manziel. Obviously you didn't read the criteria.

No, I can read. Can you? It is apparent the voters ignore the criteria.

If your reason for why McCarron deserves it is the letter of that paragraph, then there are 100s of players who deserve it every year.

You need to learn to communicate with a little more patience and civility.

I do agree with your point about mission statements. Most of them are an utter waste of time, and it's clear that not even the Downtown Athletic Club intends for this to include character and leadership to any great extent.

He asks you to read the official statement of Heisman criteria and you tell him to die in a fire. What the frick is wrong with you?

I disagree with his point, but this is beginning to sound like a middle school lunch table.
