I think he channeled his inner Jim Fyffe. That might have been the best play call I've ever heard him give. Kudos to Stan also for not stepping all over it.

You could tell he was just about to go into postgame "Ah well, AU loses" mode.

Then Ricardo snags the ball....

yeah the radio was about 5 or 6 seconds ahead of the tv.. I figured I could turn the game off in time to not see the disappointment.. Then Rod flipped his shite, and I flipped my shite turning the tv up, then I lost my mind again when I finally saw what I had just heard..

I was the exact opposite. I was listening online and the online broadcast was at least 45 seconds behind the game. I watched the play on TV, muted it and heard the call on the radio from the time AU went back on the field.

Was totally AWESOME hearing Rod's call knowing what was coming. Especially when you could hear in his voice him giving up on the play for a split second when it was tipped.

I am 50 years old and that call by Rod brings some emotion like I didn't know I had.
I have listened to it multiple times and I am surprised by the emotion it pulls to the surface.

I just listened to it and his tone from "Well lets call it a shitty day" to "It's a miracle in Jordan-Hare" is unreal

Also, the fact that he correctly pronounced JordanHare threw me off a little

When he starts repeating "Louis is gonna score.. Louis is gonna score" it sounds eerily similar to Fyffe's "Tillman.. Tillman.. Tillman" call. Easily the best call of Rod's career.
