Inspired by the "On Today's Date - 1998 - Arkansas" Thread I thought this would be cool to do. Where was your program 10 years ago on 11/14/03, what about 11/14/93?

10 years ago: 11/14/03

Head Coach - Lou Holtz
Record - 5-5
Overall 2003 season record - 5-7

This date was a Friday, the previous week we had lost to Arkansas in Little Rock, the following day we'd lose 24-22 to UF in Columbia.

20 years ago: 11/14/93

Head Coach - Sparky Woods
Record - 5-5
Overall 1993 season record 5-6*

*Bama would eventually forfeit their win against us that season.

This date was a Sunday. We had just lost to UF and would go on to finish the season with a close loss to Clemson. This was only our 2nd season in the SEC. We hadn't been to a bowl game since 1988 and wouldn't go to one until 1995 I believe.

30 years ago: 11/14/83

Head Coach - Joe Morrison
Record - 5-5
Overall 1983 season record 5-6

We had just beaten Navy but would finish the season with a loss to Clemson. This was Joe Morrison's 1st season and the following season he would give us our only 10-win season for quite some time. During that season we beat a handful of national powers.

Getting ready to beat that Bama arse the next day and glad Saban is on our side. That's what I was doing

The rant was making Fire Saban threads for losing to Ron Zook

I'm sure the picture of our co-champion banner will make it in here at some point.

Im too lazy to be that detailed, so off the top of my head...

2003 - we were finishing up a very disappointing year in which we were picked in the top 5 preseason before eventually falling out of the polls.

1993 - Terry Bowden's 1st year as head coach. We were 9-0 and headed to 20 consecutive wins but nothing to show for it because we were on probation.

1983 - Started the year with a heartbreaking loss before running the table the rest of the way and having the NC taken away from us by retarded pollsters.

I remember that. A bit of a game changer that was.

10 years ago, we we're getting ready to buttfrick MSU 59-21, and we had just come off of beating Miami in the Orange Bowl to end their 26-game home winning streak.

Coach: Phillip Fulmer
Starting QB: Casey Clausen
Record: 7-2
Rank: #9

20 years ago today, it was a bye week for the Big Orange, as we had previously defeated #13 Louisville at home the week before, 45-10.

Coach: Phillip Fulmer
Starting QB: Heath Shuler
Record: 8-1
Rank: #7

In 03, we still should've made a title run. Bobby P left us, and our O crashed. Still a talented team. Maybe our most talented ever.

The 2003 team may be the most talented auburn team ever.... It was basically the 2004 team with Karlos Dansby and Dontarius Thomas at linebacker and Reggie Torbor at DE... just a nasty collection of talent on that defense and in the backfield (though it was never utilized properly by nallsminger).

that defense had
DL -- Jay Ratliff, Reggie Torbor, Tommy Jackson
LB -- Dansby, Thomas, Travis Williams
DB -- Carlos Rogers, Junior Rosegreen

In 2003 our defense was led by a safety named Jaxson Appel. Think he is now a high school coach.

In 1993 our defense was led by Sam Adams and Aaron Glenn, both first round picks.

The year is 2003 and Mike Shula's 1st year coaching after the departure of Fran to TAMU

Record of 4-6 with 4 of the 6 losses at home. 2 of which were in OT to Tenn and Arky. Leading up to the LSU game on Nov 15th, Bama is coming off a 38-0 whipping of Miss State in Starkville. A game in which Brodie Croyle only completed 9 passes but 3 went for TD's

Some of the Future NFL Players on 2003 squad:

Croyle
Leron McClain
Romanv Harper
Ken Darby
Shaud Williams
Charlie Peprah
Anthony Madison
Ramzee Robinson
Derrick Pope
Evan Mathis
Antwan Odom
Mark Anderson
