If the goal of adding Mizzou to the conference was to increase television ratings by bringing the Kansas City and St. Louis T.V. markets than why wasn't Mizzou VS. Ole Miss the selection:

1. It's an away game for Mizzou, and both teams should be ranked by the time the game is played

2. Mizzou fans will be watching the game on T.V. from both Kansas City and St. Louis

3. Mizzou has the highest watched games on ESPN this season and a channel that is only available to cable/network subscribers.

4. More people would be able to watch the game on their local television affiliate

In short this is the season long troll by CBS to bring any national attention to Mizzou, and to protect its jewels LSU, and Alabama. It's possible CBS is just trying to wait until the SEC title game to build up the potential matchup between Mizzou and Alabama but in the process they're losing money. I honestly can't wait to hear Verne have a meltdown on national T.V. during the SEC championship so his bias for Alabama is on full display.

MSU VS. Arkansas

surprised they didn't make this selection to be honest MSU is fighting for bowl eligibility and Arkansas is fighting for improvement over last season

Coastal Carolina VS. South Carolina

agree with not selecting this especially since South Carolina will be officially eliminated after this weekend with either one of Georgia winning or South Carolina losing to the cripples

Alabama VS. Chattanooga

Surprise this wasn't a selection considering the Alabama favoritism displayed by the two morons who call the game

Georgia VS. Kentucky

Georgia pretty much eliminates itself by winning this weekend because the SEC East would at best case result in a three way tie

Vandy VS. Tennessee

They should just have the game end in a no contest and give the victory to Vandy so they can go bowling for a third straight season

A&M VS. LSU

LSU just gets slaughtered by Bama so lets go put them on National T.V. and hope Johnny can boost the ratings in front of a half filled "Death Valley"

CBS can

Dumbass. The aTm/LSU matchup is better than the Mizzou/Ole Miss matchup.

CBS chooses games based on ratings. Not enough people in St. Louis and KC are watching, so CBS keeps snubbing Mizzou for markets that do watch like Houston, NOLA, Birmingham, Atlanta, etc.

A&M versus LSU is a TV event.

Missouri versus OM is more important for SEC standings.

Guess which one CBS TV cares about. TV event or SEC standings? There's a hint in "CBS TV."

Mizzou- I wouldn't worry about the CBS. when/if you make it to ATL against an undefeated Bama, you better believe that the SEC will be protecting its cash cow for the MNC berth. SEC is all about the money.

We bring two of the biggest T.V. markets in the SEC. I don't really know a lot about Ole Miss T.V. market, but nobody is going to watch a

Wow..... Lots of mad right there.... Face it Mizzou is and may always be the little sisters in the SEC.

I can't think of any team at this point that the SEC would add that would change this.

LSU vs. A&M will bring in twice the viewers as a Mizzou/OM game. You don't really know how this works, do you?

We've dealt with this before in the Big 12 when Oklahoma would be playing for a BCS birth the officials would make horrendous calls, and Mizzou would have to find a way to overcome them. I'm sure Pinekl will tell his team they have to play absolutely perfect to make up for the shortcoming of SEC officiating

While the A&M/LSU games means nothing in regards to the SEC standings, it's still a much more entertaining and compelling match up and will draw the most viewers, and that's all CBS cares about.

It's quite simple - JFF gets ratings. There's a reason A&M will be on CBS for the fourth time this season, and likely will be again when we play Mizzou to close the season.

I'm sure ESPN doesn't mind, Mizzou games have been some of the ESPN family's highest rated games this year.

More people are watching now that Mizzou is essentially one win from claiming the East that will draw attention
