Which SEC East Contender vs Bama in Atlanta?

LINK: Of the SEC East Contenders, Mizzou Would Give Alabama the Toughest Test
The Saturday Down South article does not address "woulda, coulda, shoulda," but merely what is.
Mizzou is the only team that has absolute control of their own destiny. USCe has second best chance, if they win out, and Mizzou loses at least one future game. Georgia could make it to Atlanta, if they win out, and Mizzou goes to hell in a hand basket, with no wins for the rest of the season. In a 3-way tie between Georgiia, Mizzou and USCe, Mizzou wins the East.
If I have any hypotheticals wrong, no doubt, someone will point that out later.

Probably Mizzou but who knows

Based on the matchups, USC has the best chance.
UGA has too many injuries to beat Aub on the road.
Mizzou will lose at Ole Miss and/or to aTm, most likely to aTm though.
USC just has to beat a depleted and deflated UF team.

I actually think South Carolina has the worst shot out of the 3 to make it. I think UGA will beat Auburn (homer of course). We are 6-1 in the past 7 games and have had Auburn's number lately. Even our craptastic 6-7 2010 team played their NC team close.
I have a hard time believing Mizzou drops both A&M and Ole Miss but you never know. They've got to go on the road to Kentucky ( ) too...
Who really cares who makes it anyways? Alabama will likely blow whoever it is out.

Since when has past records ever decided a football game?
And Auburn will be in Atlanta not Alabama so this whole thread is terrible.

There is always the possibility. Honestly, the very best game of 2012 was the SECCG in Atlanta UGA vs Bama!

Luckily that Georgia team wasn't bussed in by ambulances

You are correct that Auburn has a shot at making the SECCG.
Blame the author of the article in SDS for the presumption that Bama will win the SECW.

If UGA beats Auburn then it's almost a guarantee that Mizzou wins the East. I'll take those chances. AU is a bit overrated, UGA has been down this year. That game is in two weeks.. I think UGA gets healthy enough to win that game.

It really depends on Rumph and Conley. If they can go we have a shot. Not a great one, but a shot.

AU is a bit overrated
I'll also take our loss on the road in the toughest venue in the conference over a loss to USCe at home.

Rumph? what?

Cry me a river Georgia fans. Mizzou had just as many injuries last year and Franklin has been hurt this year, but that hasn't stopped us. Get over it, your team just isn't any good.

I thought AU beat aTm on their home field?
I would not call Auburn overrated, nor would I call Mizzou overrated. But I do chuckle at your attempt to slam the East. Other than Bama, there is no disparity between divisions.

I think SC has a good shot at making it. But based on our luck in the past, it will probably wind up that our chances died in Knoxville. If it's not the Gamecocks, I'd rather Mizzou wind up in ATL.

So I am guessing you are basing this on past performance? Which is also what the author of the article is doing when he presumes Bama will play in the SECCG.
While Mizzou is new to SEC, I have paid attention to the teams over the years. And Bama is the key. Georgia, Florida, LSU (in no particular order) are the next teams that come to mind historically, with UT then AU. That is old SEC, now USCe may be ready to step up and TAMU and Mizzou may also shake the pecking order. TAMU has a great potential to do this with all of Texas for recruiting and the dollars that will come in donations from some wealthy Texans. Mizzou will also benefit from their location which offers some mid-America kids the chance to play close to home, but be a part of the SEC conference.
