What do you think happened yesterday against Arkansas? Did Auburn play as terribly (on defense) as I thought? Arkansas offense is atrocious and we let them score. Was yesterday step backwards? Why or why not?

Kept it very simple, and didn't execute like we have been. I wouldn't say we took a step back, but we definitely didn't gain anything.

I think Arky's OL and RBs are underrated. Good thing their coach is a dumbass, and decided to go trick play on us.

Piss poor tackling and getting pushed around on defense. Need to fix it before UGA but other than that it was a good game.

I dunno. It was a pretty uninspired offensive strategy. I assume that was by design, and it was working fine to just run the ball outside and in. The execution of the defense was surprising, I was expecting us to give up less yards.

All in all, won on the road and held our cards close. Can't complain.

The goal line stand was the notable exception to an otherwise mediocre showing.

I know it's a tired cliche' but Jake Holland happened yesterday. I wish I knew how to pull video off my dvr.

I took the time this morning to watch his movements in some of the runs we gave up. On one particular play all of the action goes left, the back, the upback, the receiver in motion and the qb. In what direction does Jake haul arse in while looking at the action in the back field? The stumpy little frick heads right and gets blocks by the right tackle or guard. Where does the play go? It goes right through the hole Jake opened up by running himself out of the play.

It was a boring game and a boring game plan. But you know what? My family was having just as much fun here last night as the A&M game. It was a SEC road victory. Something we have not experienced in a while.

We all know we are suspect to the run because of our backers. This will not improve this year. If our DLine does not stop them, the backs will make it to the secondary. Its just a fact. We will struggle against Bama and UGA if Gurley plays. Not great match ups.

Our bet against both of them is to outscore them. I think that is very possible against UGA but Bama probably will make Marshall pass which will be a tough task.

We are who we thought we were. A defense that gives up tons of yards but shuts you down in the red zone. Last night was a perfect example of the current Auburn defense. The goal line stop almost game me a stiffy. shite was awesome to see again

Jake truly is an awful linebacker. Tre Williams can't get here soon enough.

Agree with all of this, especially the tackling. Arkansas probably gets 40-50 less rushing yds if we simply wrap up. Very 2012ish.

It COULD improve if we'd play our best players. You can't convince me that starting Frost and playing him a majority of the time wouldn't significantly help our chances of stopping more inside runs. Watching Holland whiff, whiff and then whiff some more is absurd, and Gus, Ellis and whoever need to be grilled about it.

If mediocre is the best we're going to be against the run this yr, then fine. But we need to be doing it with our best players on the field.

That's a relief. I had to check my post history to make sure I hadn't made an arse of myself recently while intoxicated.

Everyone likes RB, until you meet him IRL. He's kind of a dick.
