I don't know if Gus didn't want to put more points on the board because it was Arkansas but we could have scored at least 1 or 2 more times in the 4th and even 42-17 would have looked a lot worse.

As far as Defense we came out crowding the line and they ran to the outside and we missed some tackles. Their Oline doesn't give up a ton of pressure, even with their schedule and record, which is our strength on Defense and it showed. We just weren't in the backfield as much as normal to help out the rest of the defense.

Plus they were at home, had an off week, and our game circled on the schedule all year. But as bad as it looked they only got 25 more yards than they have averaged in conference and less than they average on the year and 2 yards less per play than they got on USC, who no one thinks was close.

What happened yesterday? I know it's a tired cliche' but Jake Holland happened yesterday. I wish I knew how to pull video off my dvr. I took the time this morning to watch his movements in some of the runs we gave up. On one particular play all of the action goes left, the back, the upback, the receiver in motion and the qb. In what direction does Jake haul arse in while looking at the action in the back field? The stumpy little frick heads right and gets blocks by the right tackle or guard. Where does the play go? It goes right through the hole Jake opened up by running himself out of the play.
this and all this the dude may have the heart but he has the brains and talent of a run over squirrel

The way EJ rotates players, he will see the field. Holland will be nothing more than a forgotten nightmare.

He was playing head games with Bert all day. Gus could have done what he wanted. He could have brought JJ in and passed all over them. It was what is was. I really do not take anything from it bad.

We missed a lot of tackles D line didn't really get much of a push in the run game or get after the qb until late. We're going to have to be a lot more sound against UT's dual threat qb

I didn't take anything really bad from it yesterday and I agree Gus just mind fricked the hell out of Bert. However, I wanted so bad to crush them, but I get Gus keeping it vanilla till the big games.

It must be something nice when you know your opponent is so overmatched that you frick with them and make them feel they have a chance...

The only correct answer is Jake Holland.

Never, ever, have I harbored hatred in my heart for an Auburn player. Until this season.

If he loved Auburn at all, he'd take a roofing hammer to his ankle and sit the rest of the season out.

He wasn't the only one playing like trash. Our interior DL was rarely if ever getting serious push against two freshman at OG. Shouldn't have exposed our LBs to some of the blocks that were made

That being said, Jake Holland was god awful. Even my girlfriend's sister who doesn't know how first downs work asked what was wrong with him

All the linebackers played bad. We do not have any run support in the middle. Which is our biggest weakness. If we do not stuff the run completely, its a 12 yard gain every time

Roofing. Hammer.

He could hit Fisher. Fisher could hit him.

We are mediocre stopping power running games. With Jake in the game, we are way worse.

He can't keep playing. Frost, who has been average at best, looks like Lawrence Taylor by comparison.

It's quite possible that he was playing to prevent injury from our better LB's. Arky was running up the middle and piling on etc. We had quite a few folks banged up. Another reason Swain saw so much PT. Just thinking of the bright side.

How in the name of all things is Frost smart enough for AU's aviation program but not smart enough to beat out LOLland.

I think so many players are prima donnas and flakey that any guy who always shows up on time, does his work, and does exactly what he's told is going to play, even if his tackling is bad.
