What the hell is going on with the offense and defense? Going back to the UT game it's a tale of two halves. In both the Vandy and UF game it looked like there was a big drop in intensity for at least a portion of the 2nd half.

I think a lot of it has to do with adjustments; they adjust, we don't. We also got away from the run on offense and it lead to a turnover, a safety, running 7 or 8 total plays in the 3rd, and totally gassing our defense.

I am convinced it is conditioning......and I also think this is why we have so many injuries....Gurley is lucky not to have been badly hurt yesterday cause when you ain't bringing it you can get mauled...especially as a tailback....

Mitchell and JSW were non contact injuries. So was Bennett. Gurley and Conley had their ankles rolled. That's not poor conditioning, that's just flat out shite luck.

Non contact injuries could be a result of poor conditioning. Not saying theirs was though.

Man, don't talk about conditioning. All of the ripped, former hs athlete, physiologist disneys are going to blast you. Injuries are bad luck man. We have the world's best in Joe T. Just ask em.

Just like the reason my hamstring is barking this morning. It's bad luck man. It has nothing to do with the fact that I did a crappy job stretching yesterday morning, extended my stride a little too much on a hill and finished my weekly long run rather than shut it down.

BUT, no matter how much my hammy hurts -- it's great to be a GA bulldog!!!! AND beat FL, SWEET!!!! Hell, I don't even mind the disneys this morning!

Yeah I have a B.S.N and worked with personal trainers for ten years, but when I gave my input I was told I didn't know what I was talking about.

frick'em though. I'm not going to argue with people bc everyone always thinks that they're right.

Utk Game- MArshall, Bennet, JSW all go down. Kind of kills the spirit.

Vandy- Swann muffs the punt, gives Vandy new life and momentum

UF- Lynch drops an easy catch, and then doesn't cover the football. Plus the missed blocking assignment. Gives UF momentum and poits

not that hard to figure outif you've watched the games.

That's the way it is here, no one can have a civil discussion, if someone states an opinion it turns into a chance to tear that person apart!

It was obvious that Gurley was out of shape after coming back from his injury but not sure about the rest of the team. I actually thought the defense played pretty well considering the number of 3 and outs by the offense in the second half. If was clear that the offense came out conservative in the 2nd half. This has been Bobo's MO when we have a lead. In the first half we threw successfully on 1st down several times which was key in those first half scoring drives. In the 2nd half we got into the: run 1st and 2nd down then pass on 3rd down rut which is so predictable and leads to blitz vulnerability on those 3rd down plays. The main thing that allowed us to get away with it in this game was: Florida's offense just isn't very good and our offense was able to sustain that winning last drive.

That's the only reason we won this game.

Do what?If Wooten holds on to either of those TD passes we blow em out. We handed em 7 pts on the Lynch screw up.

The "only reason" really? Were you sober when you watched it?

Pretty sober. If they had a more competent offense then we very well could have lost that game. We blew a 17 point lead against the 104th ranked offense.

Yeah, like I said, game time conditioning can't be recreated in practice. I expected gurley to be a little winded, maybe not THAT bad, but it's really hard to take almost 5 weeks off and not be really out of shape when it comes to game time speed. I think he'll get a few good carries vs app state this weekend, and look back to 90% against Auburn. He looked great in the first couple of runs against UF.

I still don't think his ankle is fully healed. He didn't have that usual burst nor was he making the kind of cuts that he usually makes.
