Why did he transfer from Bama? Was it bc he wasn't going to see any PT? During his recruitment was AU one of the schools he was considering?
What was the reason he saw limited PT last year? Was he injured or was it bc O Mac was the primary speedster?

someone can clarify this a little more. But he was led to believe he would fill a different role at UA.

Many good players saw limited to none under the last coaching staff. Hell they moved Therezie to RB iirc.

To the Bama part he and his mom were promised a more prominent role and I believe told he would not be moved from RB. When his position was change and role to what was promised, he left.

Last staff sucked let seniors play instead of better players.

Auburn and Alabama were his final two schools. Saban basically told him "We'll be switching to spread soon to keep up with the times and I want you to be our feature back."
And finally came to his senses after year of eligibility spent redshirting as a defensive back. He recruitment was nothing more than a statement for Saban that he could come into Auburn's backyard and take whoever he wanted (added bonus that he was a perfect fit for Malzahn's offense).
I'm not 100% on this next part, but I've head that Luper and a few other coaches never really got over the fact that he picked Bama over AU on signing day and never gave him a real chance to contribute because they were so sour about it.
