The run Bama and LSU are on I consider to be almost unreal. Even when teams historically recruited well there were misses, busts etc.

Obviously Saban and Miles and in my opinion - more importantly than those 2 are the S&T members of the staff.

Teams recruit 4 stars, 5 stars, 3stars all the time and they have bust after bust.

LSU and Bama it seems to be a culture that not being the is not a consideration.

LSU losing 11 and still being in the race. Thats crazy. Bama losing what they lose each year and reload is crazy.

If you look at say LSU and start looking at DBs, DTsgoing back years the pros grab them and then the next guy is already on the draft board. Same with Bama.

It just seems unreal and I wonder if Bama has a year of a rebuild or a semi rebuild coming?

But I will tell the Rant that what LSU and Bama have done over the last 12 years or so is sick. It doesn't happen even when you do get the players you want every year.

The coaches and like I said more so S&T coaches. Unreal.

They turn highschool seniors into Big board first rounders in 2 years. over and over. Kudos.

What Bama has done since 08 has been unbelievable.

LSU? Not so much.

I think if there's any year they could slip up and lose 2-3 games it'd be next year.

Next season will be a challenge. We'll have a lot of young guys with experience, but we're losing some very key cogs to the machine on both sides of the ball and special teams. AJ, Norwood, Bell, Cyko, and Steen gone on offense. CJ, Stinson, Belue, and HaHa on defense. Mandell and Foster on special teams. That's a lot of leadership and consistency.

I'm sure it will happen. Hard to predict one based on talent level, because they'll be loaded in the next several years. Would have to be something that you can't predict, like key injuries, bad attitudes, etc.

I hope you're not serious. It was the year after. I can understand the offense but the whole team....not in a million years. 2012 definitely was though.

In answer to those wondering why LSU in here; thx for good answers from Bammers.

In 2011, LSU was 11-0 and had beaten Bama at Bama. It to this day is considered to be the hardest schedule ever played.

So they split. LSU had at that point beaten Bama 2 in a row.

If the rematch goes to OSU instead - LSU makes mince meat of OSU and has crystal right?

So it was everybody waiting on the edge of your couch to see who got the call. By like .01123 points.

I'd say thats close.

Last year would then have been played for LSU to win 3 in a row vs. Bama. As we all know Bama made a historical drive in death valley and put the hurt on LSU.

But again - I say - LSU had Bama backed up with one drive to make. Bama made it. Deserved it. It was historical. But what makes it historical was the fact that 1 play and its over.

Then it is 3 LSU in a row over Saban. and likely the easy ND romp.

Im respecting both teams and the unreal talent and games. Look at the Pat Peterson call that was clearly wrong.

My point is that as good as Bama is - LSU is basically on the same level. Without each other it would not be so awesome.

I know I mentioned what ifs. But they are very very close what ifs.

If the BCS spits out OSU. Miles is 2 straight vs Saban with win at his house and another Natty.

LSU makes a play last year - same.

Alabama earned it and deserves the glory 100%. But respect that there is a team 1 pubic hair from flipping it all.

This is intended to respect both teams, coaches, playeres, and more importantly S&T coaches. They get these guys ready to

RELOAD, Which brings me back to the topic.

What do you consider a "down year" for Alabama? We could lose 2-3 games next year IMO, depending on a few issues, mainly how the new QB comes along. Granted the last two QBs we broke in won NCs in their first year starting, so who knows. There's no end in sight to Alabama competing for national titles year in and year out.

And LOL at the OP riding our coattails so hard.

Bama was down in 2010. It was a catastrophic season for us. I still can't believe they blew a 24 point lead to Auburn at home and got sonned by Jordan Jefferson of all people.

AJ is graduating and the back up QBs have been thoroughly uninspiring.

LSU and Bama?

I mean LSU is consistently really good, but this is a Bama run.

LSU last won an NC in 2007. That team had 2 losses. Bama has won 3 of the last 4 NCs. Those 3 teams had 2 losses combined.

Slight possibility that we lose two games in 2019.
