Didn't even play. Hopefully it was some sort of minor injury and not off the field shite. We really don't need any more of that crap this season.

An article on al.com said that he played at the very end (didn't start).

Alabama coach Saban had praised Sylve's for his knowledge of the defense and ability to communicate as recently as Wednesday. Jackson didn't play until very late in the game after going down with what was described as a minor ankle injury last week against Georgia State.

Sounds like EJ might not have the spot locked up even if he's healthy.

From a few days ago:

@marctorrence: Saban: Bradley [Sylve] and Deion Belue help us the most (leadership-wise)

Here are some tweets from yesterday:

@Andrew_Gribble: Freshman CB Eddie Jackson lining up with 2nd-team defense. As noted by @Marq_Burnett, Bradley Sylve was with 1st team.

@CecilHurt: As Saban said earlier this week, Bradley Sylve in the starting secondary.

@CecilHurt: @bamaminchew Been playing and practicing well, per Saban.

@Andrew_Gribble: RE: Eddie Jackson/Sylve: From the sounds of it, Sylve beat out Jackson, whose reps were limited b/c of injury, for the job in practice.

quote:

"Bradley's quick and fast and he's got more experience than some of the guys," Saban said. "He's probably been one of the most consistent guys playing for us. We probably should have played him some before this. "He did a nice job last week when he went in for Eddie. We felt like he deserved to be the starter and get his opportunity."

It's all part of the plan to land Fournette.
