Don't be playing with my emotions like that, Smokey. No offense to Trey, but I would LOVE for Trent to go somewhere with an actual passing threat so he could run better.

Now if only the Saints would do the same for Ingram. We don't use him correctly and as Bush is showing, the Saints will never have a 1000 yard rusher.

Uh... they get two first round picks. That's not stupid at all. It's the best for both teams.

This trade may save TR's career. According to PFF, through two games, the Cleveland line is nowhere near as good as it should have been. Indy doesn't have world beaters, but they have Andrew Luck and a host of talent catching the ball. Giving Luck a guy who can run the ball and giving Richardson a guy who can throw the ball is big for those two guys. 2 of the top 2 picks in the same draft on the same team as second year players. Indy

I'm so happy he's out of Cleveland...they're such an awful organization...Trent couldn't have went to a better team....Luck/Trent/AN ACTUAL O-LINE....WATCH OUT NFL.

Good for him. Cleveland, Oakland, and Jacksonville are where talent goes to die.

ETA: Could he have demanded this? NFL teams almost never trade players, much less after week 2.

I'm so happy for trent, but do I start him in my fantasy league this week?

Wasn't there a rumor Trent was complaining about them to needed to run the ball more?

All I know is that I am taking whoever the Browns are playing this week in Survivor

Just saw this on facebook....

Trent Richardson dealt to Colts

quote:

The Cleveland Browns traded running back Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, a stunning move just two games into this season and only one year after drafting him in the first round.

The deal was first reported by ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Richardson was dealt for a first-round selection in next year's draft, when the Browns will have two opening-round picks. Cleveland is rebuilding and the team hopes to use that pick to help turn around a floundering franchise mired in losing for more than a decade.

Time out...

Cle drafted Trent and Weeden in the first round in order to rebuild and now are getting rid of Trent to get another first round pick so they can draft a new QB to try to rebuild again?

the Brown's just gave up on their season, two weeks in.

Not really a surprise though, they are owned by a tennessee vol.

It is what happens when you draft a 28 year old Rookie to be the franchise QB
