Apparently they were penalized for not wearing white jerseys, as the away team always has to wear white. I missed the first few minutes, how where they penalized?

I'd also be interested to know if that's the case. Atrocious

Not a big enough contrast between jersey and pants. They assessed a 10 or 15 yd penalty at the end of the opening kickoff return.

Weirdest penalty I've ever seen in football.

Those uniforms were an eye sore watching the game from the stands.

Not a big enough contrast between jersey and numbers. You can wear the same color jersey and pants...several twams do.

New rule to cut down on those stupid gradient numbers.

It was a 15-yard personal foul at the end of the first play (opening kickoff) and another one on the opening kickoff of the second half for not changing during halftime.

Why Adidas made illegal uniforms and Arky State wore them, no clue.

Actually penalized twice 15 yards on AU first possession for I wearing jerseys that didn't contrast with AU dark jerseys. Then 13 yards on their opening possession in 2nd half for numbers I not contrasting enough. Considering AU stopped them inside the 5 on that drive I will take it.

I was wondering what happened there. Makes sense now.

I don't get why the announcers never even addressed that in the second half. I guess they didn't know either. Our beat writers on twitter were all over it though. Those announcers were horrible.

My wife and I went to Columbia for the USCe game in 2011. They came out in warmup with some kind of camo combo that you could not see the numbers on. They were given the opportunity to change or be penalized.

They changed. They were similar to these. Could not see the numbers at all.

this. 15 yards tacked on to our return. I guess it would have taken 15 yards off of their return if they got the ball first
