What most of the sec fails to see or admit is that LSU is a major power with deep pockets and loyal and large fan base
That was hard to type but it is the truth the fact of the matter is that if LSU went to big12 they make that conference instantly more credible while at the same time weakening the sec and isolating A&M
Also LSU is big enough to not get bullied by utex
The implications are interesting

Already being discussed, and an overwhelming majority of LSU fans would be opposed (I'd wager that most would be vehemently opposed) to leaving.
Their administration won't do it and no one wants it. Will not happen.
