So is there just going to be Generic "Southern" conference in place with teams like Tuscaloosa Tide, Opelika Eagles, Baton Rouge Bengals and Gainesville Alligators?

Why on earth would ANY of you say "good"?
That is revenue that would have been split between the schools so this is, in fact, hurting your school's bottom line.

The SEC can make our own game, people. This is the first step in breaking from the NCAA.

Like my first post in this thread says, the decision by the SEC is that EA can't use the conference logo. The game will still have all of the schools and team logos.

I can't wait to play COLLEGE FOOTBALL 16 where we'll have most of the school still licensed and compete for Atlantic, Southern, Pacific, Lone Star and Great Lakes Conference Championships.

That's not the point. There will be no SEC championship game in the Georgia dome with SEC signs and banners every where. You will be playing in some generic named conference that has absolutely no meaning to it. It will kill the experience, period. And you if you disagree, then you are just wrong and either don't play video games in the first place or just are completely ignorant. Plain and simple.

In the soccer world there are two waring Video Games... the FIFA series, which most are familiar with, and the PES Series, which boast better mechanics, realism and deeper careers and have had vastly superior editing and customization to FIFA since the PS2 days...
Why is FIFA still top dog, BECAUSE THEY OWN ALL THE LICENSES!!! PES has only 5 or 6 licensed leagues and can usually only get 4 or 5 Premier League teams, everyone else is generic. PES has only recently made ground thanks to buying rights to the UEFA Champions League (the soccer Super Bowl).
