@chaseparham: Christian Helsel is the #RebsBSB player no longer with the program. He's also suffered a UCL (elbow) injury. Great guy. Wish him the best.

I thought he was going to be an every game starter and a big contributor in the coming seasons.

I wish him well.

That's too bad. I thought he had a lot of potential to contribute.

Wish him the best.

Just another open roster spot for the new coach to fill.

Helsel played a really solid second base for us the second half of the season... Appreciate all the hard work he put in and best of luck to him in the future.

Didn't we have a senior get hurt early this pre-season? Guess he will be the starter.

John Gatlin? He is getting better. Should be ok to play next season. I think he's a redshirted senior next year.

Helsel wasn't worth a shite. Below average sec player. He would be a good fit at a belhaven type

I get banned every once in a while keeping pussies like yourself in check. Helsel was garbage. Check his batting average before you keep defending him and make yourself look even more foolish. The guy was awful at hitting, below average speed, average fielding, below average arm. Jake overbey 2.0

Troll the state board or the rant if that's all you're here to do. Helsel worked his arse off which is less than I can say for some of the older guys.

What everybody is saying is that he has to have arm surgery.

I got the impression that he is one that we were running off from reading what Jeff was saying on the spirit. I may have misunderstood what he was trying to say. If we did run him off it doesn't make a lot of sense to me since he was a freshman that got to play. And wasn't too bad

What the hell was the guy good at? He would have to be damn good defensively, which he wasn't, to make up for his awful hitting.

I thought he was alright on defense. Hitting started better than it ended. But the reason I liked him is because I thought he was one of the few players who played hard and gave us some energy. I would like to have him just for that reason
