Stolen from TexAgs board, which I know makes me a douche. But this is priceless:

I think that vid is pretty spot on. It's in our nature to want to fix things and problems but sometimes it's best to just listen to you spouse and let them talk. Some women just want to know you'll listen to their problems instead of having to try and fix them. This has worked well with my wife. She actually just called me and is on her way home from work and had a bad day. I didn't try to give her advice or fix anything, I just listened to her. Told her I loved her and to be careful coming home. When she gets home she says she's making me chicken-n-dumplings. All is well in the MJ household tonight.

It's a great message but honestly I didn't even think about my wife when I watched it. In my case it much better relates to me kids; both want zero advice even when their stumbling blocks are obvious.

i would forward that to my wife, but for fear of ending up with a nail in my head.

If you would of tried to fix her problem, then you would have become the focus of her frustration and/or anger. Her bad day at work would of then become your bad night at home.

Congrats on the chicken n dumplings. Well played!
