Don't know about how many spots. Obviously two are taken. I just want to see more talent, MGC, Allen, and Gant are real, Williams is a stud. IMO we should build for 2016 and thats about it

Yeah cuz 15 is just not worth trying for. If this team could land Bryant or Kapita they would be very intriguing next year....they already are without them. Just my thoughts. Sick of the debby downer BS about this b ball team. It's called rebuilding, blame the admin not the coach

Debby downer or not, this team ain't good right now. Call it rebuilding or call it being a debby downer, it's all the same. We ain't good now. Hopefully we will be down the road. I also think it's fair to blame the whole bunch of them. Alden for the bigger picture of where we are. KA for losing to UMKC and almost losing to Elon and SEMO. That should never happen, even in rebuilding years.

Or ill blame the fans because McDonalds all americans dont play in front of empty arena. Uconn and Maryland are the only two teams to win it all without at lease one mcdonalds all-american in the last 15 years.

rosburg is our only 5 next year. Bryant can be hyped all he wants. He isnt lebron, he isnt carrying us and why even talk bryant? He aint coming, you can hope and pray its not happening.

Jw3, Allen, Gant arent 5's.... this isnt kentucky, we dont just reload here.

fans can blame the AD for his handling of norm but thruth is je wouldnt be here today. So to be mad that he didnt get to set his time to leave is dumb. He is norm, was great but never made a final 4, and our teams couldn't win a road game his last 3 years.

So until our fans get off their period and get over Norm. We will never achieve greatness

We're screwed then because I ain't driving 4 hours back and forth to watch this level of ball play the likes of UMKC or Elon. Win and the fans will show up. Lose and they'll be in smaller numbers. Lose and play ugly and well, you get what we got.

Reedus23, I love your passion for Mizzou sports. For most coaches Mizzou is not a destination job. See QS, Suitcase and Haith. There is now a stable coach who has his destination job. He has put together an exciting staff and has been on the job a short time. Sometimes you have to crawl before you walk. CKA has inherited a tough situation. There isn't a coach alive that could make this a tourney team this year. Gant has only played 2 games. Patience my friend.

If this is rebuilding then we need a new term. This is one of the two or three worst teams in my life and I am not young.

reedus...

That's not a fair option imo. You cant say win ane play better teams and I'll show up.

If we played duke, uconn, Arizona every year...we'd lose. We had an amazing run at home, and nobofy supported it unless ku or uk came to town.

Seems like many fans want their cake and to eat it too...

Again, top recruits dont wanna play in front of 1/4 full arenas.

I mean our football team wins 10 games a year and we cant get 81k in there every Saturday

Sean,

we dont don't get big men at least big men who can ball as freshman. Those players are one and done types. Top 20 recruits dont play for empty arenas. You can recruit all you want, doesn't matter

I agree with everything you say. The only distinction I would draw however, for myself at least, is that I never imagined crawling or rebuilding would include losing to UMKC, almost losing to Elon and SEMO. I completely understand going in that there was not going to be any tourney this year. I don't even think that there will be one next year. I think those that say there will be are putting to high of an expectation on KA. I just thought what was seen on the court would be easier to watch. Maybe they pick up where they left off with Illinois and start showing that.

I do agree about the destination job though. Before we hired KA, I always wondered about the Norm Stewart coaching tree and essentially where it was other than KA. Good to see some of the younger guys are getting into coaching.

No argument from me if you are comparing Mizzou to UK hoops or Bama football. Plain and simple though...there isn't the storied tradition like those schools. Mizzou does have other competition from pro teams. Unless you are counting on only the local community, you're simply not going to get people from KC and STL to make the trip unless it's a good product playing a good product.

Also, I'd rather play and lose to Duke than play and lose to UMKC or play and win by 4 over Elon. Playing Duke, even if a loss is expected, might get me to take on the 4 hours of driving. Elon won't.

Its not fair for me to blanket our fanbase, and the Wednesday games suck....but during football season there is no reason not to pack the stadium...its a Saturday. And thursday, friday, sat bball games should have a better showing. Being a little tired at work friday or your kid missing a few days of school per year if you are in kc and stl shouldn't be an issue imo.

Well sell a lot of bball tickets and then ppl no show. The monetary support is great, the actuall support is better. But alden needs to stop selling to corporate schmucks who'd rather sit in the bar or use those tickets for business purposes.

My only solution is to make the lower ball all students and smaller seating capacity (see a duke setup) add suites with bars for corporates, and make the upper bowl the season ticket holder area with the nose bleeds the 5 dollar ticket seating.

I have no idea what students do and do not get. That said cheap tickets, or an option to include 4 yeara of tickets into tuition might work, and cheap concessions. I mean as bad as season ticket holders are, we cant ignore the students. The band, 40 Zoucrew and 12 antlers wont fill that section

Bike,

What do you think of the student support at games?

I think its a joke but that is from what I see. I cant back that without knowing what costs they have just to go to a game.

I will say the antlers have more passion for the game, program even if they are outnumbered and offensive

Maybe just me but we should put our eggs in the bigger targets basket. We got Allen and Isabell way late in the game. You can find the fringe/development players after you miss out on others

My opinion on our chances for the following:

Bryant: 10%, parents these days have to much input in their childs decision. See Pollard

Blakney: 35%, might be high because he is a top 15 recruit but he seems to like the idea of playing here and learning from his mistakes.

Kapita: 85%, if it was a done deal he would be here so the door is still open for others.

Lyles: 95%, really have nothing here but im placing my eggs in the Huntington Prep basket.

2016

Tatum: 20%, I think we make his final 5 and maybe his final 3. But I see kentucky all over this and my gut says if he stays home it will be at SLU. Final 5 of MU, UK, Slu, ku (gross), tOSU

Cook: 100%, have to get one sometime

Bridges: 75%, same basket as Lyles

(Note: nothing to do today)

I think the chances you have on Tatum are way to high. At least right now. Tatum is more likely to go to SLU in all honesty. He either goes to a blue blood or decides that he doesn't need to go to a blue blood to make it to the next level and if he decides he doesn't need a blue blood, he will end up at SLU, not Mizzou.

Too high on Cook too. There is no such thing as a 100% chance of landing a recruit.

The rest, I hear ya but are probably a bit higher than I would put them personally.

Levi Cook is class of 2015, he's a back-up plan if we miss on Bryant and Kapitia.
